So we will probably be forced to choose between Mages and Templars again but in my opinion

there should be a third option because as Varric said at the end of DA:II I'm sick of mages and templars

and I agree with him completely

Do you think Bioware will give us that third option? What could it be ?

Kill enough of both until they both surrender.

Considering that the majority of the templars now seem to be insane red templars, I'm gonna have to say wipe them out and create a new system that isn't so much like prison for the mages.

Bioware has already confirmed you pick one group which gets absorbed into the Inquisition and you open unique content that way.

If that content is distinct enough, I doubt they made a third option.

MisterJB is correct, as much as i would love a third option as more content is always welcome and if the option to choose between templers and mages has been confirmed and a third option seem unlikely.

A third option if well preformed could play out like in Fallout NV, the lovely Wild Card: You and What Army? ending was just great, and i would love to see how Bioware could make such an option work in dragon age, if it could work at all which i doubt.

I'm guessing it works like The Witcher 2's choice between Vernon Roche and Iorveth. For those who don't know, you choose one in act one and, depending upon your choice, you get an entirely different act two as well as a different companion in act three.

If Bioware is aiming to make content that distinct, I doubt they intend to provide a third option. It would spend too many resources, it might be preferable to pick either Templars or mages and then create some more nuanced choices within the content itself such as, for instance, sparing or executing enemy prisioners.

Ooh, can I have a link to this, please? I haven't seen that info.

Nevermind. I see you posted a video above.

So there's no option to crush both sides and get both of them to join you?

In that case, I kinda hope you can choose one side, crush the other and force it to join you.

Not really. Considering what we know it isn't that big of an assumption. We haven't heard anything about regular templars anywhere so it is safe to assume that the majority of the templars have become red templars and so are insane, like Meredith.

Well, since we haven't heard anything about regular mages anywhere, it is safe to assume they've all become Tevinters.

Also, there are no longer any Qunari, Iron Bull is the sole member of his race.

Oh wow. Hadn't noticed this. I actually like this route, make the choice that much more effective and lasting down the road. Honestly, don't know which side I would pick until I see it in game though.

Meh, still would like a middle ground approach instead of being forced to pick a side..... again

Since I recently played Witcher 2 for the first time, I actually prefered how they made you pick a side, to demonstrate the power of consequences. Granted, within Dragon Age, I would prefer a middle ground, but if there is indeed such an option in DAI, I'd imagine it would be much more difficult to pull. Especially since the Hinterlands demonstrate that both sides have pretty much gone to hell. That mess will be hard enough to salvage as is without trying to make them work together.

Hopefully there will be away to make both sides sit down and make peace, but I really won't hold my breath. Fereldens still really hate Orlisan's and that oppression only last about hundrad year or so, if I'm remembering correctly, while the Mage oppression lasted near a thousand. Of course at the beginning of the game the mages where in peace talks with what was left of the Chanrty so there may be hope to get both sides to back down and work something out.

I honestly think Justinia was the only one rallying for mage and Chantry peace out of the Chantry leaders. When she's dead, from what I hear, it sounds like the Chantry is moving back to more conservative roots instead of pushing for peace like Justinia did.

Oh the irony

I was stating information we have been give so far. Which as far I know is fact. Not fantasy like BJ. He just wants all mages dead. Hence his fantasy all mages are tevinters now, giving him a reason just to kill them all.
