the only excuse i can see for nathaniel and zevrans new look, is that varric is telling the overall story, there's bound to be some discrepancies from real life, i mean cmon its varric

Yeah viv had blue eye color in the lead them or fall trailer. I really do hope that the eye color is just another detail (like quivers) that will be fixed up when the game ships. I know it's a small pet peeve but still, I'm still trying to deal with the whole Varric hair thing *notthatidon'tlikeitinfactilikeitsomuchbetterthanhisoriginal* when it comes to consiticensies.

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed Leliana's eye color change. If you check out her profile on Bioware's site http://www.dragonage.../humans/leliana her eyes are brown as well. I wonder what's up with that.

In the sense that her eyes changed from the trailer to in-game SSs.

 

I did tweet Laidlaw, because little inconsistencies like this irk me to no end but I doubt I'll get a reply.

I completely misread that at first and thought that her eyes had little SS lightning runes in them. Which probably means that I need to dial back on my preconceptions of her a tad...

Before you implore me to not change Leliana's eye color know that the seemingly brown eyes are a bug in some screens are a bug.

I bet it's a engine lighting issue, but it would be nice to get some confirmation from the devs.

It was already said to be an engine issue when people asked the same thing about Sera's eyes.

 

I don't mind brown, personally. I have brown eyes myself

I noticed. They also made Teagan into a brown eyed redhead (from a blue eyed blond/brunette).

I hadn't noticed before how much DA2 Nathaniel looked like Gamlen.  I think it's the stubblejaw.

If it gets fixed for Leli, there's no reason it won't for others. So they'll probably get around to it.

It's really just that picture where her nose looks uneven, so I wouldn't worry too much. I noticed it as well, but if you look at other pictures/videos of her it isn't like that. On the other hand, a dev did come into a thread and explain that they are actually trying to give the characters minor imperfections to make them all unique and more realistic. While I'm not a fan of the nose (nor do I think it's going to be like that), I appreciate that concept. I think the faces in general look really nice, and much better than DA2's for the most part.

Whenever a sequel is made that has the same characters as the original the eyes...indeed the face looks different. Tomb Raider and many others all have them.

Until there was a fix in DragonAge:Origins all the eyes were black...male and female. Do you remember that? A mod eventually changed that so Lelia's eye's were brown in my game
