I want to load a character that I've already played through on the first one, he's lvl 59. Right now Shepard is a Soldier, will I be able to change his look and class at all? I would LOVE to play as a Vanguard! Though Soldier would be ok too so i can use heavy weaponry, just wondering. Thanks!

Yup. You're allowed to modify your appearance and classes for imported Shepards.

ah sweeeeeet!!! Now granted i tried to create a new character to alter my toons look, but then it just didn't feel like... SHEPARD to me. lol... i liked the way i designed my guy. but the fact that I can now be a Vanguard is pretty damn sweet. Can't wait to get it. I got the Collector's Edition AND have Dragon Age, so, sweet ass armors, here i come!

Does anyone know how the whole, importing a character and what difference hte amount of money you had and lvl you are is going to have?

If you had the rich achievement, you start off with more money.
you get a jumpstart on levels, depending on your level. I think you get level 5 at the beginning of ME2, if you were level 60 in ME1.

Eh, if you're 59, you'll probably be 3/4 in ME2, which isn't too bad.

meh... I tried to make much of the same decisions I made the first time around in the game so that I would have the same type of outcome for ME2, but I don't wanna play through the game a third time right now. LOL! Too much. I know that there were SOME things I did different, Like... (Slept with Liara rather than Ashley) on the second time through. lol.... just wanted to see if there was much of a difference. I liked in Dragon Age that you could make love with both the chicks in the same playthrough.
Also... is the soldier class the only one that can wear heavy armor? I wanna play Vanguard in ME2, but I'm getting all the additional armors (Collector's Edition, Terminus Armor, Blood whatever armor from DA:O) I wanna use all those. hehehehe.....
Either way I'm lookin forward to it.
BTW: The ending credit song from Mass Effect 1 is downloadable on iTunes, and I think it's a pretty neat song. 8 fricken minutes long, but worth a listen. M4, Pt2 I believe is the name, by Faunts.

There are no more armor ratings; if you have it, you can wear it.

Everyone can wear every armour, so it seems you will be enjoying game as a vanguard.
