How do I change armor tiers? What's the best way to get "punisher" & "whirling dervish" achievements? And how do I get the "lightning reflexes achievement?"  Much appreciated!

Edit: I'm on pc.

On the PC, the easiest way to upgrade weapons and armour is to sell it to one of the Dryden brothers at the Keep (remove any runes first, or it won't work) and then buy the stuff back. You can run up quite a tab this way, though...

As regards the achievements, it doesn't have to be the Warden who does the killing or trap disarming. Just take a companion who has the requisite abilities and go hunting.

On consoles, you can just put the items into the Warden's Peak storage chest, leave the area and come back. This way it won't cost you anything. Note that the items can also get downgraded, so it may take a few tries.

@DarthGizka For the achievements, can I perform a talent or disarm a trap, reload, then do it again for achievement? In the main story I preferably play only human mages and never touch leliana or zevran.

Yes, reloading should work although it would be quite boring...

It seems that the kills (or disarms or whatever) get counted across all forks and campaigns, so you could look over your savegames and pick the perfect spot in space/time for your hunt. The endgame - starting with Redcliffe Village - is perfect for the Whirling Dervish thing. For Mighty Blow I rolled a brand-new dwarf and started smashing my way through Orzammar and the Deep Roads.

The Bloody Plains random encounter has sh*tloads of traps, and there are a couple more encounters where there are at least half a dozen or so (Zevran comes to mind). So you could trawl the highways in search of such an encounter and meanwhile up your Punisher kill count and so on. Once you have found a suitable encounter, kill the opposition, save, disarm, reload, disarm... Another place with loads of traps is in the Elven Ruins.

P.S.: Since you're playing on PC - if you've enabled the console then you can use runscript addtalent <number> to give the requisite abilities to your companions. The id codes are listed in the wiki. It should also be possible to jump to any desired encounter or location, but I've never done it and so I don't know how.

Anyone know if you can do console commands for the origin version of DAOUE? If so, can you help me?

Yes, the developer console works perfectly well with the Origin download of the Ultimate edition. The instructions on the wiki are the best guide for enabling the console, and I strongly recommend adding Make CONSOLE commands visible to your install... it saves a lot of time and frustration. /voice of experience

I tried doing the console commands but they're not working. I'm just going to earn them instead. Has a better feeling to it.
