I just finished Night Terrors again and I chose the choices leading up to Feynriel being able to control his powers and wanting to seek out more help in Tevinter, so I was wondering if it's possible that he make some sort of appearance in DA:I? Especially considering he's a Fade Dreamer, a very rare character and I felt like he just disappeared out of my DA2 life to soon and wanted to see more of him.

If anybody needs a refresher on Feynriel, he is an elf-blooded hybrid who was an apostate and depending on Hawke's actions he can wind up in the circle or with the Dalish. Later on he goes into a Fade coma and you find out that he's a "Dreamer". And depending on your choices you could kill him in the Fade, making him tranquil, sell him to the demon, or help him master his powers. IDK I just want him to appear or at the very least be mentioned in Dragon Age Inquisition considering his story. It'd be even cooler to see what happens to his abomination self considering he becomes the "Dreamstalker" who wreaks havoc among people. Thoughts? Speculation?

Would be interesting if Dorian heard of Feynriel if he mastered his powers

or even Solas mentioning seeing him in the fade while Feynriel was travelling to tevinter.

A dreamer is always a nice asset to have, what better way to brave the fade than to have one who has control of it as an ally?

with the increase in dreamers recently (fellassan in TME), I could see feynriel popping up in inquisition.  If not, we will probably see him or have him as a companion in one of the future games that takes us to tevinter.

That's what i thought too, since thank the creators DA is not a trilogy series and are all tales loosely linked to each other. They've even mentioned the possibility of Maevaris a MTF transwoman who is a tevinter magister in the comics, and even expressed interest in using her in a high capacity in future installments, same could possibly happen to Feynriel. Still I'd liek to see if there was any consequences to your actions as Hawke if you did end up making Feynriel a demon, perhaps make some super uber hard boss or something that is Feynriel the Dreamstalker.

Maybe Faynriel was influenced/ tricked by his teacher to kill (via dreaming) Alexius'/ that necromancer in Redcliffe son?

I'd love to see Feynriel pop up somewhere. I was hoping that he'd be a companion in Inquisition... his questline was not related directly to Kirkwall but it was still major... weird.

I think his quest was mandatory, wasn't it? Like, WHY!? I thought he'd be a major NPC like Cullen but he just kind of ran off.

There are two ways this could be dealt with.   Either the writers ignore player decisions and include him as a major or minor character at some point either in this game or the future, or they merely include a reference to him.   If the former it wouldn't be impossible to explain his appearance (see below)

So Dorian could mention in passing that he knew a kid from Kirkwall that escaped the Circle/had been with the Dalish who trained with him for a time or was working in a rival house, etc.   This would of course only happen if you sent him to Tevinter.

We never learnt what became of the Tranquil during the Annulment of the Kirkwall Circle.   Did they just get killed in the chaos or simply calmly walk out of the Gallows as the Templars rushed in?   Now if Ferynriel was still alive as a Tranquil then you could have a sub-quest involving reversing it (because we know how to do that now), but of course only if that was the course you took.

As a dreamstalker, may be again there could be a sub-quest to kill him, if someone hasn't done that already.   Alternatively you could have a quest to free him of the possession (again because this has now been shown to be possible even when the person concerned is an abomination).

Yes to all of those, they sound feasible and would be utterly awesome!

I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up evil in Inquisition if he went to Tevinter. Would make a cool twist.

Hahah that'd be a shock. No matter what you wanted for him he comes back as a villain. I still think it'd make sense for him to come back since the Fade's tearing through and all.

I would rather not interact with the creepy person who can spy on and mind control people from across the continent, thanks.

He should come back as someone you need to help you repair the Fade. Kind of like Wrex or Legion.

You know...maybe Feynriel is THE villain. The one causing the whole mess in the first place.

He seems a bit mushy for that, but you never know! Tevinter. ;)
