This guy is my favorite archer. What happened to him? Will he be playable again?

All the party members have been revealed. If he is going to be in the game, it will be as an advisor or something.

He's not going to be in your party.

He's not going to be a party member or a main advisor, those have all been revealed, but he may be the leader of a faction that you will have the option to rally/destroy.

Not sure if we are going to see him again, as we apparently won't reach the Free Marches... Too bad, would have loved to find out whether or not he would be able to take over Starkhaven and/or bring an army to Kirkwall...

I hope we see him again, he's one of the few characters I feel would add something to the plot by making an appearance

Hated him, would've killed him in 2 if I had the chance.

anders blows up the chantry:

"grr damn you anders, how dare you kill those innocent people"

decide not to kill anders:

"time to rally an army to burn down a city full of innocent people"

 

i don't think it's too extreme to call him an overzealous hypocritical crybaby.

 

I would like to see him back though, not as a companion, but a cameo would be interesting

I'd like to see what would happen considering My Hawke spared Anders and romanced him in one playthrough, so he kinda can't kill his boyfriend, despite him destroying a chantry >.> But what can you do? It's true love. 

 

But yeah I want to see or at the very LEAST hear some sort of mention, like maybe you're at a tavern, or passing by some random npc that's all "Have you heard about Sebastian Vael? They say he left the chantry to take back the throne and is raising an army against the mages in Starkhaven" or something like that. I'm sure we'll get at least a mention since this was a huge choice in DA2 and they've been saying how our choices should matter and they will. So I'm sure we'll get a mention or something. Not sure if he'll appear as a cameo or anything.

I want to see him again. His story doesn't feel complete at all.... In fact it feels more like it just started. So at the very least he should get a mention.

I'd like to see what happened with Sebastian, but if he's not a major player, there's not much point in seeking him out.

 

I'm hoping to at least hear his VA (Alex Newman) in DAI. He had multiple roles in DA2 (Sebastian, Fenarel, Seneschal Bran); I'm sure there could be a niche in DAI for him.

He's  probably still in high dudgeon, on the road to Starkhaven, turning around every five minutes or so because he still can't make a bloody decision, and generally being a sanctimonious twit.

 

The very best of riddance to him.

No he's not a party member , thankfully.  IF he makes a cameo / has a purpose id hope we can just kill him.

I've played the game 6 times and I've never even bothered to talk to him. Just did his quests to get xp and loot lol. We should be able to lure him to the dark side. He is so uptight that I'm getting ideas.
