^Thunderdome something something.
Shadow for melee , QFI for sniping. However I just prefer shotguns or Typhoon on her.

I like the shadow sword melee (even though the filthy wenches kill steal my kills!) I hate the slash though. If it is used sparingly I can deal with it but serial slashers annoy the bejebbers out of me.
They are indeed a little annoying.

They will settle this in Jellodome!
N7 Shadow suck worse than quarian grill.
1. Sabotage will strip shields only after the shots, unless one specificially waits for backfire to kick in. So either phasics or multi-shot SR or Kishock are must on both. Stagger power is nice and all, but it doesn't make one kit better sniper. Marginally better passives mean Shadow>QFI at sniping.
2. While Stickies are better that SS in general, they are not as potent without CB debuff, which quifiltrator doesn't have. SS can deal craptons of damage to armor every 4 seconds as well. Even without omniblade.
0. You said one thing in the first sentence, then proceeded to show the opposite opinion.
1. Bolded part is not true. Sabotage does damage to health too, and as a result disruptors are a perfectly fine choice for the QFI, and actually by far the best one if you take into account the capability of staggering and lining up easy headshots on any enemy that cannot be finished by sabotage backfiring and 2). Also I strongly disagree, having the best staggering power in the game does a lot to make the QFI a better sniper. It doesn't matter how good you are, if you're not using an aimbot you'll miss at times. Not even few times, during a game. And sabotage pretty much negates any miss once per cloak cycle. It does help any sniper, no matter how skilled he/she is, and therefore increases the number of shots said player can take when he uses a QFi, with respect to the Shadow. And therefore, it makes the QFI a better sniper.
2. Cryo debuff is not the only thing that helps stickies, you know. Sabotage helps them tremendously as well, since they can auto-produce a TB (or a FE) if you load your gun with disruptors (or incendiaries), and said TB (FE) gets boosted by sabotage and adds up a lot of damage on a huge area. Stickies cover an area too, which allows the QFI to blow spawns to hell and back while the Shadow is still trying to decide which enemy she should SS first, since it's not AoE. Stickies are a hundred times better than SS, with or without cryo blast.
All in all, I'd suggest you try disruptors on her and give her another chance - you'll see for yourself what she's capable of.
In a battle of purely sniping, I would call it even since they're both just relying on TC -> shoot -> Repeat forever and they have the same TC.
I disagree. QFI does TC -> sabotage -> shoot and is therefore better suited for sniping.
Oh, I almost forgot to clarify one issue.
You shouldn't be asking that question, man! I thought higher of you!

NT...
On topic, good call capn, I'd have done it myself if I wasn't so lazy
Anyway, QFI gets both awards for me, and it's not even close. Been loving her with my patched crusader as of late...
Dear lord having discussions about Quarians has made me have brain farts.
On topic, I wonder where the sticky on sticky grenades comes from? ![]()

Lol. Probably from the QMI?!

I actually don't like Sabotage that much for sniping, especially if I'm using a Javelin that's going to OHK most trash mobs. It's initial hit is pretty bad for staggering due to the pathetic amount of base force the ability has, and the secondary hit takes too long that it's easier just to shoot them before it triggers.

Uh? I find the initial hit makes any mook stand still for the time it takes to blow their head off. Work on any shielded mooks too... Except from phantoms maybe. Works perfectly even on collector captains and the like...
Yeah, it's not a force-based stagger like most powers. When you cast Sabotage on most mooks, they stand there for a second as if they are pondering what it was that was just done to them. Much better for sniping than stagger powers, because there's no animation to deal with.

It's actually been so long since I used Sabotage for sniping that I forgot about that =P
Either way I still prefer just normal sniping over doing that. I'm just used to it and it flows better to just TC -> Shoot.
Although I can see why people might like using Sabotage,

Because some people suck at sniping, like me? For me Sabotage is useful against mooks that are moving- I have about a .00005% chance of hitting a moving target with the Javelin unassisted, and so Sabotage gives them that mini-stagger (which is basically just standing still for a moment) and makes them easier to hit. For a stationary mook, I'm with you- just shoot it. But if its moving, Ima need some help.
Pffft, QFI wins for sure!
and I know what I am talking about, because I don´t use sticky grenades on Quarian and never sniped with Shadow, cough cough

He, I have it the other way around. Sabotage works best as a stagger for me because enemies don´t arch that much. I often miss the shot when using ED because it staggers too much and the head disappears for a moment. ![]()

That's why I said I can see why some people might like Sabotage.
For me personally however, I've been playing FPS games for a very long time with sniper rifles being my favourite weapon class.
Especially with me recently playing Titanfall a decent amount, I'm just used to targets that are on the move at this point so I don't use or even really like using Sabotage in sniping and haven't for a very long time.

Well, I do understand if you find the cloak - shoot cycle and rhythm to be more comfortable.
However, it doesn't matter if you played with SRs your whole life - you're still gonna miss a good bunch of shots. Having a power that lets you miss less of those helps. even if you're super skilled. You might find it uncomfortable and I can understand that, but you can't deny that it lets you snipe better. Mostly because it comes at no cost at all.
That said, the real reason why I'm appreciating stuff like sabotage more and more these days is that, with my PC slowly falling to pieces, it has become more and more difficult for me to snipe and, in general, aim. I miss frames, packets and whatnot, and the enemies' movements are not smooth, but rather made of small teleports, which makes it very hard for me to get headshots on targets moving tangentially... Unless I use a staggering power like sabotage.
So yeah, I might have a bias towards the QFI for that too, who knows.
Came for the jello wrestling....

Shadow is significantly more fun to play though.
For me as well. Gotta give it to the Shadow simply because she is my favorite character. Her melee build is ![]()

I'd rather take my Salarian Infiltrator known as Tight Lips (Thanks to Goku!) when it comes to sniping though. ![]()
There isn't a person on this planet that will hit the head of a panicking nemesis 10 times ouf of 10 without a CC power. The claim that Sabotage doesn't offer a major benefit for sniping if you're good enough shot is just stupid - even if technically true - because absolutely no one is that good of a shot.

My kid is amazing with the Kraber.. I'm not too good with it though.
I just unlocked it(only actually bought the game in the recent sale), but I've been doing great with the Longbow.
Goosing enemy pilots is some solid target practice =P

Damn Nemesis is always hopped up on amphetamines.
