What would you like in Mass Effect 4 Multiplayer

I'm curious about what people would like in ME4 multiplayer.

 

1. I would love for full appearance customization for all species, not just skin tone. Facial appearance like in campaign. Maybe chose from different voices as well... maybe.

 

2/3 kinda tie in together

2. Customization of armor like in campaign (melee, health, shield, speed, power increase/decrease) and combining different armor pieces for different effects for all races.

 

3. Armor has differnent effects and bonuses and maybe some small disadvantages as well. Make them upgradeable like weapons as

well.

 

4. Increase the level cap to 30-60 and increase the ability points.

 

5. Be able to fight not just the Reapers, Cerberus, Geth, and Collectors, but Blue Suns, Eclypse, and Blood Pack and get the option to fight the merc groups at once.

 

6. Possibly make the Prothean a playble race, and for a joke make the Hanar and Elcor playable.

 

7. Make Male and Female variants of each race. Asari are fine, but every other race out there only has male playable characters except for Humans, Quarians which all it's male versions are just god awful, Turians which finally got one female to play as in it's final expansion

 

8. Enable heavy melee to knock Geth Bomber away... annoying little things.

 

9. Enable counter system for instakills (countering enemy instakills) for example... kinda BS for a krogan to NOT fighting back a banshee grabing him... I REPEAT A KROGAN NOT FIGHTING BACK

 

10. Don't let evading remove barriers from biotics... kinda broken.

 

11. ENABLE EVERY CLASS OF EVERYRACE TO DODGE OR ATLEAST SIDE STEP *cough* *cough* *KROGAN* errrrrhum *TURIAN*... Except the Geth Juggernaut... he's fine he doesn't need to dodge... or run... or move... just stand there and be awesome.

 

12. Perhaps a Tower Defense game mode.

 

13. Don't let the AI know your exact location ALL the time

 

14. Weapons should be passively better for specific classes and races, you shouldn't have to put a skill point in that perk for it's boost in effectiveness unless it's a later ability to drastically improve it for the class, the Soldier should be the hands down best with weaonry no matter what weapon and get a two to three times better perfotmance with it since they have no tech or biotics and heavily rely on ammo.

 

15. Give the option to chose which power weapon you use and get ammo for (Avalanche, Hydra, Cobra, Arc Projector, Blackstar, Grenade Launcher, Firestorm, Blackstorm, M920 CAIN, Collector Beam, Ladon, Sync Laser and more)

 

These are more that my friends have told me and I agree in most cases.

 

15. Different wave settings for possibly setting up endless survival to see how long you can last, rewards vary.

 

16. The ability to pick a class with any species, NOT class and race as one, except in some cases such as N7 only humans, Justicar and Commandos only Asari, Battlemasters only Krogan, STG only Salarian, etc.

 

17. More accessable maps with more to do on there with the environment, more access points, larger areas, not let the area feel like your in a box.

 

18. Make areas in the maps where the sniper rfile is more useful where as in ME3 areas got too close quarters for it to be useful.

 

19. BOSS WAVES :3

 

20.KEEP THE MICROTRANSACTION systerm. What needs to change in it is when you max out a character appearance or weapon or whatever you get, it won't appear again. I can see them letting you upgrade a specific item only as long as you have it and have to pay extra... quite a bit extra for the upgrade which I would be content with, but not buy a specifc weapon or item outright for a high pricetag. They should include random EXP bonuses not limited to a specifc class, but should give you the option to dump it in a class of your choising, and each class that is maxed out lowers the chances of it popping up again.

I'm not that bothered about customisation in the Multiplayer, I think its fine as is but I know other people do love to do this.  Would prefer they fix some of the bugs that still remain in 3 that affect playability rather than cosmetic things.

 

The idea of having the type of armor affecting hits is a good one, harks back to the good 'ol days of ME1.  But then they would just buff/nerf the hell out of it and be back to square one.

 

Would like them to remove the caps all together so actually reward players for the ACTUAL number of headshots, weapon kills etc and not limit them each match .  You get the bonuses it should be reflected in your scoreline. 

 

Not that bothered about fighting anyone else and if they are starting ME4 from scratch won't we have new races anyway, this might be a moot point.

 

Thought there already were female/males for each race, or more or less.

 

There are many things "broken" in ME3 multiplayer which have yet to be fixed.  Lets hope this is resolved in the new game.

 

It would be nice to have counters for the bonus items like particular weapon kills, headshots etc on the screen updated in realtime but this might be tricky considering the dire state of EA servers.

 

Watched a trailer for ME4 and sounds and looks pretty good so far.  Can't wait.  Best game series I've ever played in about 30 years or more of gaming.

I would say yes, but only for specific maps and if its big enough for them, like a MAKO hmmmmm the MAKO would be nice to jump on things

Turrets that the player controll , Air Strikes from the flortilla or any air strike that we command also some kind of vehicle co op game and pritty much most of the same because the game is bad ass .

... or maybe just a modifier to the RNG system.. such as select which class, weapon, or gear you are "going for" most and if one Rare or UR is to "pop" it'll be from the list of what you were going for. This makes sense as in the RPG like effect of. You're trying to get better and improve upon specific gear so that's the gear that gets improved (at least potentially) I mean really who sends away for random boxes of stuff... I'm okay with the grab bag effect of the ammo, and other slot items but I'd like to think of them as "vendor add-ons" for the purchase of pack that MAY.. just may contain a part to upgrade my Harrier...

1. Keep the transaction system, but allow me to have a LITTLE more control. Give us a pack that guarantees an UR (Cost<6x that of a PSP), just so there's SOME progress once you get to a certain point.

 

2. Allow more varied kits. They did a great job with the characters they had, but only 2 Salarians? I would say allow for you to pick the race and class with restrictions (i.e. Asari would HAVE to be Adepts, Vanguards, or Sentinels since they all have biotics and Geth could NOT be a biotics-based class).

 

3. Armor customization (effects on combat) is a good idea.

 

4. Maybe a playlist for larger groups? I actually had a few times when we had six who wanted to play, but obviously couldn't.

 

5. More enemy groups.

 

6. Higher levels, more talent points. Maybe reward promotions with bonus talent points with the incentive to play more and max out characters? In that same vein, promote them individually, maybe?

 

7. Return of the challenge system.

 

8. This is WAAYYY pipedream, but allow a party slot in the campaign to be filled by a single created MP character. Basic background impact story minimally. Just cool to make your MP character more alive.

 

9. Bring back a lot of the weapons. Just so we're somewhat familiar with them. That's why I have a lot of friends who are big CoD fans; they know what the guns are and what they do. They don't have to take a long time to figure out all new weapons.

I like this as well... not sure how to implement, but think it's a good idea. Less health makes it less likely to succeed?

This, with a chat system in the lobby so we can talk to each other without using a mic, I find it puts me in a more positive mood for the game if I'm able to tell my teammates/opponents "GL HF" and a GG after the game.

 

And for the love of god, please, please, PLEASE let us fight off sync kills. There's nothing worse than a cheap sync that you couldn't do a damn thing about, it just frustrates the players.

 

Edit: I would also like to be able to see others players names for their characters, people can come up with some funny stuff sometimes and it's fun to talk about.

How about integrating RNG with a store system?

 

Two stores; one being a main store (let’s call it General Store for now) and the other store is the Black Market. Each store changes stock every 3 hours and the Black Market has what the General Store previously had in stock but for a higher price, this helps in the event if you get on and see that the Cerberus Harrier is on sale and you play a few games to get enough credits, then go back to the store to see that its gone and start head butting your keyboard before realising that you can still buy it but at a higher price.

 

When you buy a certain weapon from a store (lets pick the Harrier again) it does not get replaced buy another weapon, it just offers an upgrade. For example you buy the Harrier I for 10,000 and the card in the store gets replaced with Harrier II for 15,000 and if I calculated that correctly it would cost you a total of 325,000 to max out the Harrier in this example.

 

An example of the stock that the General Store has could be the following:

As long as I see Geth and Quarians, I'm happy. Not sure if any of those species will return though, but they are what make Mass Effect what it is.

Stealth aspect/mode. Should be able to creep up behind a phantom without it noticing grab it by the ankle, swing it in the air and smash it on the ground till it's dead, if you're a Krogan that is. Everyone else can have knife kills or maybe a Vorcha goes full skitz jumping on their back and stabbing I don't know.

 

Better balance between characters some of them are almost useless when pitted against some of the better characters. But buff don't Nerf.

 

Maybe allow characters to go to level 60 and pick their own powers from a set group of powers assigned by class similar to in the SP.

 

Pick which mods/weapons you spend your credits on I don't use sniper rifles so getting a new widow instead of a CSMG or Valkyrie is actually annoying.

 

Same goes for medigel upgrades, Cobra upgrades and such. Player gets a choice with their credits new weapons and mods or some fancy new equipment.

 

Make players leave a match to do up their equipment and go to the store for public matches, friends only are fine but you do get sick of waiting for people.

 

More enemies per round and revamp the spawn system you can pick some of these guys off before they even have a chance to hit the ground let alone aim.

 

Grab kill medals are too easy to get.

Be able to buy the mods that you want.  I don't want a bazallion stabilization mods, but that's what I get.  My kingdom for a pistol amp III.

I think a minimap would be a cool addition to the game.

I would also like the store system to change for the reasons stated above.

My biggest wish is to be able to promote specific characters and not just classes as a whole.

Sex. We need sex in multiplayer. Also a bar on each map where characters from all factions can releax and shoot the breeze over dangerously alcoholic drinks in between killing the crap out of each other. Also, sex.

 

And I want to be able to decorate my shotgun with little sparkly diamonds, and rainbows. Don't forget rainbows.

I'd like to be able to choose powers for each character, as long as it's relevant to the class they are. Like replacing Shockwave with Throw for the regular Human Adept and replacing Hunter Mode with Hex Shield for the Geth Trooper for example.

A bar for drinking booze and for the PVP crowd so we can have bar fights.

 

A pool for my Asari so they can relax stylishly with cocktails from the bar.

 

A module for players to design custom outfits so my Asari can watch fashion shows by the pool with cocktails from the bar while relaxing.

 

A Hanar DJ so my Asari watching fashion shows by the pool with cocktails from the bar while relaxing can also listen to music.

 

Krogan female pole dancers - I expect my Asari won't know what hit them when they find out about that.

Although I am addicted to ME3MP, single player is what matters most to me. So I only want a multiplayer in ME4 if it fits thematically. A big enough conflict in the storyline probably sums up best what I consider as thematically fitting.

 

If that is the case, I would like the option to customize my multiplayer hero in the sense that I can choose between powers. So I would like to build my own warrior based on which power combination fits my playstyle best (of course under race restrictions, because not every race in game has all the power options).

 

All powers from the single player campaign being available in multiplayer is also a point I think is important (in ME3 for example slam - a power I loved in the single player game(s) since ME2 - was missing).

 

Getting rid of consumables would be a nice move too, because I find it tiring to play to get credits to be able to get consumables you need (like a cyclonic mod)... Why not simply allowing to enjoy the game as it is? I mean in single player some of the consumables are powers (warp ammo for example), others should be armor customization you don't have to "refresh" every time, so it doesn't make any sense in my opinion that people have to get those in a store for multiplayer games. Your armor either has a cyclonic mod equipped or not.

 

Speaking of tiring. I am 800 hours in I guess and I still don't have a maxed manifest. Working as intended?

 

Cool would be some cut scenes to introduce the mission and after succession to give the multiplayer games a bit more meaning. Of course this could be optional before a game, because one probably don't need to see Hackett - to stay with ME3 as example - telling what the mission is about 400 times. But some times...

 

These points are from the top of my head, maybe more are following another time.
