With a show of hands, how many guys want to romance Cullen?

Im fine with her being bi but only if we get two female squad mates if viv is a option thats fine. Its unfair if you get two options while others get one.
You haven't read the comments that the devs made about fairness, did you? They said that they doesn't care what's considered fair or not, they're only worried about giving the best experience to the player that they can. If you think BW is going to play fair for anybody, then you're in for a serious disappointment.
As a woman, I have learned that there is no such thing as "being fair" in a video game, only to be happy with the choices you are given. Lesbians and gay men have had to deal with that for years. Many women, LGBTQ gamers and PoC have been excluded time and time again, being told that we should be happy with what we are given. I was even told "You got your gay romances. Shut up and be grateful. Stop bugging BioWare, gawd!"
Now, it's true that it "isn't fair" that straight men might only have two romances to themselves. However, did you mind when it was only two gay men in the entire Mass Effect series? Or the fact that gay men got one option in Origins? That wasn't fair either. Yet, how many choices have you had in all sorts of video games over the years? I can think of at least three games off of the top of my head where straight men got the most content and the most attention for romances/romance type content.
The DA team made it clear that they don't care about fairness, nor about making any straight male gamers angry. So, instead of getting all frustrated, try being happy for others. It's a lot less stressful, believe me. No matter what, you're likely to get at least two options.
If you feel it isn't right if straight men get "only" two options, and that some of the gay community might get access to all the romances, then perhaps rather than getting all angry here, start a thread in the Feedback forums stating coherently and politely why you feel it isn't fair.

Ask that in his thread if you want a real sample size.

Oh, for f*ck's Sake. How often can Threads like this pop up within a Week? It's not like this would accelerate the Release of the Information or anyone knowing the Date actually saying it...

Which I don't personally like, actually. They can at least try to be fair to everyone.

Very true what you said but it hard to be happy for other people when they laugh and take digs at straight men. But you got a point.

If Bioware has said they don't care about being fair, then I think that's something worth disagreeing with, honestly.

Why? People complain no matter what they do, so they may as well do what they want from a creative standpoint instead.

OR being a straight female in the Mass Effect series - it was still not fair compared to the straight male playthrough. Seriously Mass Effect pandered mainly to straight dudes.

Just for the record, if you feel a thread should be closed, its generally better to report it rather than spamming it or posting for it to be closed (with doing so possibly qualifying for off-topic or spam posts. People used to get warnings or bans for it actually).

I didn't even realize we were going get a strictly lesbian love interest in this game. It was a pleasant surprise. I expected the same sort of limited choices we had in the past, and now that we finally get ONE lesbian companion it's suddenly unfair?

Agreed this is the first time we got two strictly gay characters in this franchise and its nice to see that Bioware is taking steps forward and I'm sure there will be options for both straight men and girls but no matter what anyone says here we will keep dancing around in circles until this thread and every thread like it gets locked.
