I didn't even realize we were going get a strictly lesbian love interest in this game. It was a pleasant surprise. I expected the same sort of limited choices we had in the past, and now that we finally get ONE lesbian companion it's suddenly unfair?

Sera being a lesbian is fine and fair to me, Just seems to me you want it to be unfair to get payback at straight men. I want equal content for everyone while you dont.

Really? this again...

If she is bisexual, she will be available for both anyway and I doubt Bioware gonna go all out LGBT without any straight characters.

Yeah, I never said I didn't want equal content for anyone, please don't misquote me or put words in my mouth.

An unfair selection of romances is NOT what I want, I do however think it's hilarious that straight men threw such a tantrum over this considering they have always had their pick of the litter in the past. As I have said many times before, it's a lack of self awareness and it makes me shake my head and sigh, but no I don't have some vendetta against straight men as far as romance options in Bioware games.

Well, we know obviously that Cassandra will be available to male characters and Cullen will be available to female characters at the very least.  It's just a matter of if they are available to the other gender.

Yeah, I figured this was a no brainer, but I guess people are still puzzled about it.

I sincerely hope that there are not gay people on the forums who want straight men to get less options as payback.  I'm sure that there are some, but they certainly aren't the majority.

However, it seems that many (myself included) gay people and straight gals kind of have a "suck it up" attitude about this because the reaction from straight guys who are very, very vocal about the possibility of getting less romance options seems odd given that very few of those same posters were upset when DA: O came out (or BG 2 or JE or ME 1 or ME 2 or ME 3 or NWN or SWTOR or KOTOR) and the exact same thing was happening to other people (straight women, gay men, and gay women).

I'm certainly not saying that it's fair or that I want it to be this way.  If I had my way, we would all get two options and that would be that.  Equal, fair, perfect.  But I do kind of think, "Yeah, it sucks, but you'll get through it.  The rest of us did when it happened to us."  At least that's my thoughts on it.

Man I can imagine what it going to be like on this forum when we finally get the whole romance roster. Complete f^&^ing mayhem. I have this visual of a horde angry gamers trying to lay siege to Biowares work place like the forces of Mordor on Helms Deep with the staff having to use their work tables to create a shield wall against the onslaught.

Didn't they say they at least want to try to give people two options for romances anyway?

I guess you weren't here during the huge wars that would break out in the romance section of the Mass Effect forums. Bioware eventually just shut that subforum down.

It would be nice to know if they're playersexual or not.

Well on the plus side it'll give them some practical experience for any sieges they write into future games.

No confirmation on anyone, but I'd guess the LI's race gated are ones who were added in when Bioware got the extra year of time.

Seeing as Sera and Dorian already have set sexualities, it's obvious that they aren't

Yup.

I think this also got the other character discussion forums taken down.  But it's been a while.

There wont be any playersexuality this time around. If they are available to both then they'll be bi.

But not confirmed. And there are other companions who could be straight only, while Cass and Cullen are playersexual. I'm not in favor of one over the other but it's only fair that we get confirmation.

Makes sense since they used the extra time to add the other playable races.

They are not playersexual. Cass and Cullen could either be both straight, one straight and the other bi, or both bi (which isn't the same as playersexual)
