Does the Slayer have invulnerability frames during his melee? I just watched a video where this guy was slashing a Prime on Platinum, and when he got slapped, he took no damage from the Prime. Was this patched later on?

Yep.

Read Dunvi's thread in the resources library for more info... What the hell. Here's the link since I feel like being helpful right now.  ^_^

I don't really understand the "set" names though. There's no clarification, I can only assume what they mean.

Doesn't let me copy without the stupid app...  <_<

Basically, you're looking at the part that says DLC N7vanguardmelee, N7vanguardmeleetwo etc. But looking at that, it kind of looks like you're not invunerable, since there's just 85% DR... Now I'm confused!

But trust me when I say the moment the light melee launches, you are invulnerable.

Yeah, that spreadsheet looks a bit iffy. The fury, slayer and shadow all have 85% DR while doing light melee? That can't be right.

I'll take your word for it... :crying:

Yes slayer gets 85% DR during his light melee.

And.... he also gets 50% more for four second after he charges.

135% is not quite enough for complete invincibility. For that you need 140 because reasons, but 135 is close enough to tank a turret.

His only true I-frames come from the Charge animation.. the melee stuff is just lots of DR.. like the Batarian heavy melee.

I wonder if there're any effective builds to make the most of (aka exploit) this?

Why not?

Whoever said you get I-frames from light melee is wrong.

You get 85% listed DR. You also get 50% listed DR for 5 (?) secs after charge, and so if you light melee right after charge you get 135% DR, which is almost there to 140% for complete invulnerability. It is enough to make turrets' damage round down to 0.

And, of course, you get the I-frames while charging.

Also yeah, Fury, Shadow and Slayer all get 85% DR during light melee, although only the Slayer's one was tested in-game. The reason why you don't notice it that much for Fury and Shadow is simply that they have no other form of DR to add to that, while the Slayer does.
