On your last playthough, did you save the council or not?
How do you think this will carry over into ME2? Easier to recuit humans if you let them die? Easier to recruit aliens if you save them?
Your last playthrough on the council

more along the lines of how the galaxy will turn out to be by the end of the trilogy. either human dominated in a new world order type scenario or a more galactic community setup
the council's fate plays a big influence on that. the other influences will probably turn out to be your interactions with cerberus and TIM and other factors

Right now im just playing through one last time before ME 2 on a female character this time an have noticied the subtle differences lol, my last playthrough I let them die as I wanted to make a renegade character

yeah i have three main imports (one paragon, one renegade, and one is my main and what i would choose to do) so i'll be sure to get the full spectrum of outcomes by the end of me3.
i have two other imports but they're basically castaways at the moment - expendable

I saved them. I figured if Joker thought he could save them and take on Sovereign, I'd trust him.

Saved them, as my Shep would rather commit new forces to the battle as soon as possible rather than hold them back and risk an opportunity pass them by.
But I've got a renegade character as well, where the council did very much die.

I agree if Joker say's he can handle it..."He can handle it!".

I killed the Council, but not for the Renegade reason. I chose the neutral, logical choice: sacrifice the Council so the Allance fleet can kill Soverign. My main may be a Paragon Shep, but even he hated how the Council was too blind to see anything and didn't believe him.

Saved them, I can't imagine a galactic council runned by humans only, we are not even good at this on one planet ;]

Just finished up my last play-thru with my infiltrator, and I gotta say I hate the ending.
My problem with it is the outcome of sacrificing the council is tied to your renegade/paragon points rather than any decision you make. If you have even one more renegade point than paragon, regardless of which option you take when deciding the council's fate, you wind up with an all human council and no way to impress upon Udina what a terrible idea that is. Yeah, you get one chance to tell him it's a bad idea, but he of course responds with "I'm Udina. You don't know anything. Blah, blah, blah." And there's no follow-up option to shoot him in the face. On top of that, the "I don't care" option when deciding who leads is "let the politicians sort it out" rather than "I'll have nothing to do with this. What ever happens is on your heads even though I'll be the one who has to sort it out."
