I'm sorry but I don't like the amount of romance options I see so far as a Straight dude. Cassandra is.... not what I would consider attractive(in all aspects). I don't mean to say she is the worst romance option to who ever likes her but she's not my cup of tea. I wanted to hook up with Sera but she's a lesbian. I don't want to offend anyone it's just I want more options than this. Does anyone else have a problem with the current options in Inquisition?

I was disappointed Sera was declared not to be an option.
I'm excited about Cass though.
We don't know much about Vivienne/Scribbles yet or even which will be LI.

I like Cassandra, but I'll just agree on one thing. With a small group such as the ones in RPGs, it doesn't help to put more restrictions on characters. People are already limited as it is.
But nothing can be changed now. So whatever.

All i read was "I personally dont like the options that are given to us, therefore they should be changed"
As for Cassandra, she is the most intriguing romance option to me (if Leliana isnt miraculously announced as one)

We don't have all our options yet, so... there's nothing to be so upset about yet, really.

What about Vivenne? And there's barely information about Scribbles. Maybe you'll like her once info about her is up?

Well, they've only introduced the companion LIs so far. And as far as I know they have mentioned non-companion NPC romances being in the game, so there's always potential for way more LIs than we currently have. Though I agree, I'm disappointed in the lineup so far. I like Cassandra, I like Sera, but all the others don't interest me at all, whether in terms of actual characterization or of potential romance. I find most of the characters to be really uninteresting so far, though I admit we don't know much about them, so that might change.

Dude, seriously, I wasn't a huge fan of Dorian in the beginning, only because just that one feature of his design- that moustache? I wasn't digging it. But later on, I thought, "hey, if I always stuck to something I find appealing, I'm not going to appreciate things out of my comfort zone." So, I figured, cool, I may not like Dorian's look, but I'll dig his character instead. Before I knew it, I kinda started to grow fond of Dorian's design (probably thanks to some fanart, but that's beside the point).
You're judging a character based off a design and haven't really experienced the character "in motion". Sure, we saw glimmers of Cassandra in the last Dragon Age game, and I don't necessarily count the 3D anime. But I'd say try to appreciate things out of your comfort zone and you'll find may be that it's not so bad.

this thread will never die. It shall be reborn again and again.
lol can't wait for the post game release version. Least they'll be able to complain about personality instead of just looks.

As a straight male I think Cassandra looks amazing. I have been waiting for a character like her to come around. I am rather intrigued by "Scribbles" as well, though we know practically nothing about her yet.
I wouldn't worry about it until we know more about our options anyways.

Cassandra is sexy as hell.
Cassandra is attractive, but i need more then that to want to romance someone.
I didnt like her in DA2, and i really am not thrilled with her personality.
She seems like she will just be romancable Avalene who occasionally stabs objects.

Not... not.. ?

I'M SORRY HOW IS SHE NOT BEAUTIFUL TO YOU!??!?!?
In all seriousness, it's like complaining when someone bakes you a cake and you don't like it... just don't say anything and don't eat it. I get that It's disappointing, but... you can't do anything about it. I'm sure you'll think differently when you play it.

I think for some people, it'll just pan out like ME1 did. A couple of options for each player - both of which just aren't anyone's type. It's not the end of the world. Just a.. step back to that, I think.

This.
Playing a game without an LI isn't the end of the world. While I really want a certain type of LI if I don't get it *shrugs* so be it.
Plus OP there's seriously a romance thread. You can complain all you want in there and not clog up the forum.

Its more like there has been a precedent of paying for good cake, and then the next time you go to buy cake, its not a great cake.
I think people, Bioware included, severely underestimate how much people care about romance options.

Not gonna lie, but I'd do quite a lot to have cheekbones like those (and I'm a guy, but still)... stupid, fictional characters and their facial bone structure...

If we're sticking to the cake metaphor, I think it's more like paying for a surprise cake, and then being a little annoyed that your gamble didn't pay off.
But you'll probably still put your penis in the cake anyway, because why not?
