Oh no! I got it on download by entering the key on origin and now it is telling me to insert the awakenings disc!

Hi!

I am going to make the assumption that you have the original dragon age and now have tried to install the dragon ultimate edition, creating a situation that both are present.

 

1) Don't Panic!  lol

2) PLEASE BACKUP YOUR CHARACTERS

Copy your character folders (located in Documents/BioWare/Dragon Age/Characters on Win7) to somewhere else...

3) Save any mods you're using

4) DAU will not play nicely with the original dragon age.   You must uninstall the original DAO and the new DAU.  Then you can reinstall DAU

5) Copy your characters back ...

It hates it so much. You have to delete DA:O related folders in appdata, documents etc.

I couldn't get Awakenings to show up no matter what, so after 6-7 installs/uninstalls with Origin/Steam I said $#%^& it and dug out the old DVDs and boom it all works fine again.

Also you can always download the DLC from the BSN site and install it with DAupdater.
