This meaning a plain female warrior and a office clerk of questionable appearance.
Man, would you like to share those unseen close-ups of Scribbles ?

no
This is just a guess, but she might not be white enough. Judging by his finding Vivienne ugly, which I... er, can't really see.
Well yeah, that's my point.
It's fine not to personally be attracted to a member of another race, but to then go around and slamming the romance options as **** because they consist of probably one, and possibly two black women, is highly inappropriate.
Not to mention painfully, horribly wrong. I'm a woman and I've never touched a gaming sim in my life. Nor do I play any Facebook games. Most of the people I know that play a lot of FB games, amusingly enough, are men.
I'm really sick of this stereotype.
I can tell you that his first topic was even worse. Glad you didn't read it. ![]()
Oh, right. Can you link these demographics? I don't think I've seen them.
I am shocked that people would play games designed by Bioware without exploring that side of them, though.
I've actually not seen them myself, but have heard them referred to by a lot of other users on this forum and never actually contested.
Apparently, plenty of people who buy games don't even finish them, which weirds me out.

I think males who play RPGs are generally a different crowd than other gamers. Not always, but generally. We read. We buy throwing knives and halberds as "wall decorations". Who's to say we don't like romance as well? ![]()
Haha, here we are again you and me, dear !
We are such players !
To the op, your post is better, that's already something lol.
The romances options are fine and I don't see the OP's reason for seeing them as ^&%$. The game hasn't even been released and yet there are still neck beards b^&%ing and moaning that the developers are not catering to them. Also folks is there are reason for trying to talk since into people like him. Every time a thread like this opens its the same song and dance again and again and again.

It makes me glad I was asleep for that one.
I'd love to know where he got his 87% number from, other than from somewhere the sun doesn't shine.
I don't mean this in an dirogotory way towards lesbians because I'm not that kind of person and I don't want to cause any offence so please don't slam me for this but......... My straight brother plays as a female protagonist so he can romance a female LI and spends the whole game seeing two chicks getting it on. Solves his problem of only finding Sera hot. Slam my brother, not me!
It is only right and natural to want to see two hawt chicks getting it on. No lesbian would disagree with that.

Well, I suppose they don't have the time to devote to them. Maybe they're just not interested in it beyond the first few examples of gameplay?
But really, if I buy a game then I am going to make sure I get my money's worth out of it and with Bioware games, that means exploring every part of the story, romance included!
But I am sure there's plenty of non-male and non-straight players that also can't finish the game for whatever reason or avoid romancing. Sometimes romance doesn't even fit the character you're playing! I know that with the Inquisitor, I might find it difficult to bother with a romance knowing that the world might be at stake.

Bioware takes telemetry from every player who is connected to the internet while playing, so they have fairly good numbers on how many actually use the romances.
It's been said that only a relatively small percentage of players use them.
Considering only half of all players even finish the game once, I expect it's probably less than a third of players who complete the romantic content. For PS3 (where achievements are recorded), the numbers vary by LI but max out at about 30% for the most popular in Origins, who I believe was Leliana
Hey OP, do you have a source for that number? Or is it just what you perceive? Because according to The ESA (which the game companies do use,) women about 47% of all gamers. Not 13%, not 30%, but 47%. And climbing. See, I have a source for that number:
http://www.theesa.co.../gameplayer.asp
And if you want to lump of us into the "browser game" and "anime sim" groups, then I can do the same for you. 87% of all straight male gamers prefer action and sports games, so why do they have content for men in RPGs? I mean, most RPG players are women, after all.
Just like your number, my 87% was pulled out of the air based on some general stereotypes.

I saw some stats awhile back. Morrigan was the most often done, but then again, as I think Maria or Xil pointed out to me, she was the easiest to sleep with to get the achievement.

So do I get this right? Your other thread got nuked by a moderator and you felt the need to recreate the thread, claiming you have seen the error of your ways by being offensive towards straight male gamers? Sorry, but I don't care if you are part of that particular group or not, it is never okay to insult a group of people.
And honestly, options are options. It is your own fault if you don't think the options given are attractive enough. There are enough people, me included who don't see any of the companions as ugly or not attractive enough.
