I reckon just by looking at all the recent threads here I'm in a small minority who doesn't really care for any of the new romance options in the game. Not whining about any of them really, none of them on what I have seen so far have caught my attention. Then again even though I do enjoy the romance aspect of these games it's not the main reason I play them. I romanced Leliana in DAO. Honestly the only romance option I enjoyed in my DA experience and was slightly disappointed that she was unavailable for DAI but perhaps this is for the best, lets give the new characters a turn and I can assume that she is still romantically attached to my warden... in some way *shrugs*.

 

Soooooooo from the looks of things I will be forever alone in my DAI experience. Anyone else feel this way, not really too pushed about any of the new LI's in the game? I will still enjoy the game no doubt, romances are a nice addition to the experience but not that big of a deal breaker for me. Not sure if pointless thought is pointless just curious if others feel this way too? Maybe we can be forever alone together then!     

 

There's only one character I think I might want to romance, so I get where you're coming from.  But, BioWare's writers are pretty good and you may find yourself surprised.  I never expected to enjoy romancing Garrus in ME2, for instance.

I understand where you're at, OP. As a straight woman, I'm there, too. Cullen might be somewhat interesting if I can get past what I remember of him from DAO although he was better in DA2. We'll see if he's matured more since. Maybe Solas since I did wind up liking Fenris and romanced Zevran once.

 

I have no interest in Iron Bull at all though, and just don't generally play through as male characters or run the s/s options because neither one interests me even though I've tried. Those playthroughs generally stall out early on.

I thought Sera would be like Isabela early on, but since they've released more information about her, I don't think they seem much alike at all. The only things they seem to have in common as far as personality goes is a crude sense of humor.

Even if you end up not interested in any of the romances, it's not the end of the world.  Some people don't like the romances at all (or romance stories in general), and still enjoy the game...

I love Cole and I used to frequent that thread, but now it seems to always be arguing about whether he's eviiiil and people calling him "it", so I go in rarely.

I'm glad that's calmed down in the Sera thread for the most part.  Finally.

Honestly, I think it's just one or maybe two people that constantly derail the conversation, but it still results in nothing else ever being discussed, it seems like. I feel like it's the same every time I go in.

And this is why I had the Cole thread I started shut down, and didn't join in the current one aside from one post... the thread pretty much devolved into people hating on Cole and trying to start arguments with those who didn't.

Only one of the romance options available to my gender/sexuality combo revealed so far is compatible with one of the Inquisitors I want to play.

And that's fine; for me, romance is like the icing on a cake. I'm not worried that my forever alone Inquisitors will be less interesting or fun to roleplay. My forever alone Warden made for an incredible story.

Oh, this ought to be good.  Please, in your personal experience, what the "lesbian type" is?  

 

I've met plenty of lesbians on this forum and all of them were just, you know, women.  Not one "type" of lady or the other.  Some of them have very different personalities, with one of the only things in common is that they all love women.  Oh and they love Dragon Age.  I shouldn't forget about that, otherwise they probably wouldn't be here.
