Yeah. I think anyone that wishes for any sort of big face mesh mod needs the best of luck. We'll be fortunate to have mods to change our armor colors.
I think we can dye armor this game

if i knew how to contact Mr. Gaider i would
and I'm sure he is very well written but his looks....
BOOOO just no
I think we can dye armor this game
I heard the same thing, but I was just tossing what a lot of modders consider something relatively easy to do as an example.
Gaider didn't design Dorian. He wrote him. The design team designed him. I remember reading a quote from him at one point about being surprised at how attractive one of his characters ended up. I actually suspect he was talking about Dorian, too.
I remember that as well. The writers don't have a ton of say about how a character design turns out. They spit out a few ideas (female, blonde, elf, archer, leather armor) and the design team brings it to life,
yes I'm shallow sue me
not reallyI just have good taste ... hehe there is a reason people don't walk around with french villain stachs anymore
I really dont see it
Yes, it's called fashion. These come and go, and have little to do with tastes. Beyond people liking to think they have "good taste" when their individual preferences happen to match the fashion(s) of the moment.hehe there is a reason people don't walk around with french villain stachs anymore

Cameron Lee said in an interview that it should be possible for us tom create a pinkquisition (meaning we can dye all our companions armour pink), he also said we would be able to change the material weapons and armours are made from. It sounds really cool tbh.
Anyway on Dorians looks, If you look for stereotypes you will always find them more easily. Dorian has a few qualities that some people stereotype as gay qualities but so what? So do I and I am gay, I still don't come off as obviously gay according to everyone I have ever met. Nobody has ever guessed my sexuality if I did not make it obvious somehow.
There are plenty of straight guys who are metrosexual these days, it's actually all the rage at the moment. Most of the straight guys I know care more about their image than I do.
I could be wrong, but I've noticed alot more guys (18 to 30ish year olds) sporting the same mustache as Dorian.
I guess it a growing trend. I don't like it, but that's just me.
I think it's a hipster thing.

Oh my God, seriously? I'm doing this for my joke-playthrough! Everyone's armour shall be adorned in pink! Ridiculous amounts of pink! It will go with the dolled up and frilly Keep.
I'm trying to find the interview to make sure I haven't just invented that. ![]()
(edit) ok here is it, I didn't make it up.
He starts talking about crafting at about 4:55

Inquisitor:
So IB, what's with the flowers adorning your horns? Are they medicinal? Do they buff your stats?
Iron Bull:
I like them. They make me feel...pretty.
Inquisitor:
Right then.
Vivienne:
Egad! Sooo three years ago.
Dorian:
I know, right? It isn't even the season for for flower accessories!
Vivienne:
And they are not even pink!
Iron Bull:
But...but I thought.... Help me.
Vivienne:
Squeee! Makeover!
Inquisitor:
Makeover? Am I the only one that sees the gigantic dragon attacking the Keep?
Dorian:
Priorities, Inquisitor. If ever there were an emergency, this is it.
Yes, they have an art director and character artists who flesh out NPC and companion appearance. Though the writing team does give feedback on whether the art fit the character or not, it's not a process they have control over.
I do recall there was a story that the first few drafts of Merrill of "elven bloodmage" .led to so pretty... non-Merrill like designs.
Man, it's a good thing there's no "Dorain" companion in Dragon Age: Inquisition. I bet his facial hair would be silly.
But that Dorian guy? He's got a suave looking 'stache.
If I was a guy (and had facial hair like my brother, which is to say I could grow it well) I'd totally rock Dorian's look.
'Hate' is such a strong word for some strategically placed facial hairs
.
At least it's not a Hitler 'stache - I've never understood the appeal of that one.
I love his moustache. I bet it tickles when you kiss him.

I like Dorian's look. At first I wasn't sure about him character-wise, but after reading the interview, it seems like I'll be able to relate to him a lot and his character arc seems like it'll touch on some of my favorite themes (I always seem to over relate to the DA mages haha).
That said, I still have no idea what race/gender my PC will be or what their sexual orientation will be (I use a random integer generator to decide all this haha) so I have no idea if I'll end up romancing him or not. But something tells me he'll be one of my favorite characters based on the Gaider interview.

Charlie Chaplin wore it well, and wore it first.
I will say this: the mustache is a very bold, deliberate choice. You either love it or you hate it lol Certainly if growing solo-staches were considered universally suave and attractive then Movember wouldn't be such a sacrifice for guys. But nonetheless I think unusual facial hair choices are becoming quite in with the hipster crowd.
As for me, it has always been a massive turn-off, to the point where I can't even look at Dorian (I haven't read his Q&A with Mr. DG yet, either). But that's just me... I'm one fan. I happen to find Blackwall incredibly hot. And I know for a fact there are other fans who aren't into him at all.
So I just really don't get the point of this thread. Yes, those of us who hate the mustache got the rotten end of the stick. Those who love it are rejoicing. Aaaand? Life goes on! And hopefully my character will get at least one LI I find somewhat attractive ![]()
His moustache keeps reminding me of the Daffy Doodles episode.

Joke playthrough? Wrex and Garrus loved their Phoenix armor ![]()
You can click "show only BioWare posts" button on the threads, if you do it with a big one there's good odds a post by Mr.Gaiderwill be there. Then you can click name of the poster and there will be option to send them a private message/start conversation. I think.
That's...probably not the best idea ![]()
But really OP, they're not going to change it. Ever. No matter how much you beg. People who like us who think his 'stache is hideous are in the minority and it's too late anyway. Solution for you: don't recruit him, romance whoever the male bisexual LI turns out to be. (I think all the candidates are very handsome)
