DA2 didn't have a toolkit either and there are plenty of mods that change companion appearances. I know this because I used one to make Anders actually attractive.

Anders is bootiful...
I'm reminded of Garrus, people did not want to romance him because he looks like an ancient dinosaur but eventually his charm, personality, and voice turned many skeptics around.
If a character is well written, well acted, and well directed, the character will be appealing no matter the look.
Exactly. That right there is the mindset people should at least try to have; don't judge a book by it's cover.
Anders is bootiful...
He's better like this.

Apologies for bringing this thread way off topic. Bottom line is Bioware makes all the homosexual pixels ugly! But in the end, he's not a stereotype like Zevran, and I actually have hopes for Dorain (sp?) as a character, regardless of if I want to **** the dude or not. If I want to have sexual experiences using my computer I'll go on omegle or something.
HERETIC!
Lol, just kidding. I don't particularly like moustaches either (I prefer full on beards and stubble myself), but I think Dorian can pull it off. Each character's appearance has been fine tuned to match their personality. You probably won't even notice it after a while. Give it time ![]()

No, he looks like a total stranger. And weird too, like a cross between Anders and Cullen. It isn't flattering and it's actually verging in the Uncanny Valley.
I'm sorry if you think Dorian is ugly, but I can assure you that you're in the minority on the forums. Personally, I have never found any of the gay male options to be ugly in the slightest.
Good luck with this thread. I sense a lock in it's future.

Then don't romance him.
It doesn't 'seem' shallow, it is shallow.
It's just a game...
Jesus, those companion face mods... I find them so disturbing.
Lets make a deal. We can trade Cullen for Dorian.
No. ![]()
Facial hair you have a problem with Dorian facial hair are you for real.
I think Dorian looks great and I never looked at Anders and thought, "you know, this isn't bad, but he'd look better with a giant, open sore on his face", but I guess it doesn't surprise me that some people would wish that on him.

No.
"Hey there, Bashar al-Assad! Long time no see. You grew a chin! Congra- oh, sorry, Dorian."
His 'stache is not a dealbreaker; love is 'stacheblind. The dealbreaker will be whatever causes me to suddenly realize that he is kind of a monster, like all LIs in this series. A fun + interesting monster, though, hopefully.
I'm not too keen on his face without the moustache either. I am not a fan of them in general but his face looks weird without it. I think if he just had a less pretentious moustache it might not be as bad.
His moustache is indeed awful but he still has a nice face under it at least.
Now this is the intelligent, cultured discourse I come to these forums to engage in. Discerning players, dissecting screenshots from a game that has yet to be released, and drawing epiphanic conclusions. Thank you, BSN.
Am I the only one who feels like his mustache is about to start spinning like propeller blades?
I prefer the stache. He looks better. Can't find a picture of him without the stache except for this. I try to imagine the non-aryan version without the stache, and it would still look odd.

...Oh my god...
I have something to agree with General Tsar!?

The companions, imo, look like they have unique head models. That is to say, removing a mustache may involve modeling rather than just the simple editing that you did with .mor files in DA:O and DA2.

Please don't repost that. The devs aren't very happy about that pic and it's been a source of a lot of debate.
I'm neither here nor there with Dorian's mustache, but the fanatical obsession a lot of people have with it gets kinda annoying.
I like his moustache

I am not a fan of 'staches in general, but Dorian is handsome and it is a part of his design that fits fine. Dorian is Dorian.
