Hello Bioware forum ![]()
First post since the old forums and first of all I will say I prefer the old ones look and feel as this one is a bit too
shiny and corporate looking to me but that probably just because I'm getting nostalgic and don't like change ![]()
Anyway I was wondering what the communities opinion on Enchanced editions is? By Enchanced edition I mainly refer
to what CDProjekt RED did with the Witcher series by realing extensive updates that vastly improved their game a year
after release for free to those who already owned the first and second Witcher. Because of this I fell in love with CDProjekt RED
as a consumer and bought the Witcher two collectors edition and have purchased the Witcher 2 on Xbox360, GOG.com and
Steam because I was so impressed with their progressive approach to their consumers.
Now that I have finished gushing about CDProjekt RED I shall get to the point.
My confidence in Bioware waned quite abit after Dragon Age 2 and the Mass effect 3 ending (liked the ending but didn't like the
presentation of it before Directors cut). However I still love what Bioware does and treat my Old Republic Suscription kinda like
a monthly charity endorsement
The one thing that saved Dragon Age 2 for me was a voiced protagonist who I could play as
a jokester/sarcastic person and the fact that companion banter was still a great enjoyment but I believe that Dragon Age 2 needed an Enchanced edition as to this day there are still bugs which is unacceptable to me so long after release. I remember reading from
a Bioware employee that Hawkes journey was supposed to be finished in a planned dlc called The Exalted March but because the game didn't meet sales expectations they basicly threw Hawkes story and loose ends into the bin ![]()
Ah man I've gone on to long now but basicly as someone who is about to spend £120 on a collectors edition I would like to think that after release the game will be updated to the level it should be!
So what does everyone else feel about Enchanced editions?
