Hello Bioware forum :)

First post since the old forums and first of all I will say I prefer the old ones look and feel as this one is a bit too

shiny and corporate looking to me but that probably just because I'm getting nostalgic and don't like change :P

Anyway I was wondering what the communities opinion on Enchanced editions is? By Enchanced edition I mainly refer

to what CDProjekt RED did with the Witcher series by realing extensive updates that vastly improved their game a year

after release for free to those who already owned the first and second Witcher. Because of this I fell in love with CDProjekt RED

as a consumer and bought the Witcher two collectors edition and have purchased the Witcher 2 on Xbox360, GOG.com and

Steam because I was so impressed with their progressive approach to their consumers.

Now that I have finished gushing about CDProjekt RED I shall get to the point.

My confidence in Bioware waned quite abit after Dragon Age 2 and the Mass effect 3 ending (liked the ending but didn't like the

presentation of it before Directors cut). However I still love what Bioware does and treat my Old Republic Suscription kinda like

a monthly charity endorsement :P  The one thing that saved Dragon Age 2 for me was a voiced protagonist who I could play as

a jokester/sarcastic person and the fact that companion banter was still a great enjoyment but I believe that Dragon Age 2 needed an Enchanced edition as to this day there are still bugs which is unacceptable to me so long after release. I remember reading from

a Bioware employee that Hawkes journey was supposed to be finished in a planned dlc called The Exalted March but because the game didn't meet sales expectations they basicly threw Hawkes story and loose ends into the bin :(

Ah man I've gone on to long now but basicly as someone who is about to spend £120 on a collectors edition I would like to think that after release the game will be updated to the level it should be!

So what does everyone else feel about Enchanced editions?

Will never happen with EA being the publishers. Personally I would rather them having it all in one game, but The Witcher series and Bioware games are my absolute favourite RPG's of all time.

The OP should retitle this post, "Encomium on CD Projekt Red."

I encountered zero bugs when I played Origins and DA II. There is no need for an "enhanced" edition as far as I am concerned.

Bioware has already said that Inquisition is content ready. They are basically just spending the time in between now and release debugging and polishing.

Thanks for your opinion and for teaching me the word "Encomium" which I had to google :)

Origins is completely bug free as it received a lot of updates and support whereas I believe DAII did not but that is my own opinion. Don't get me wrong I actually enjoyed DAII and have just replayed it for probably the 10th time but I believe that the whole idea of an Enhanced Edition is great for inspiring customer loyalty and respect for a company. When I invision an Enhanced Edition for DAII I was thinking along the lines of updating areas to not make them so samey as loads of times I was in an area that was used at least 3-4 times for quests realizing I was walking cautiously for traps that didn't exist in this quest but did later! I'm off the opinion that they should've gone ahead with the Exalted March dlc so they could give Hawke a proper send off and set up the story of Inquisition that were in the books and comics. I am overjoyed that Inquisition got delayed as the main problem DA:II had was that they didn't have enough time for it to be the game it was supposed to be. I would rather  there be a years delay to get a fantastic game then a title everywhere that is just okay.

I understand that a lot of my demands are due to customer entitlement issues but I just hold Bioware to a much higher standard than most game developers :)
