He was not even a real Templer.
I had a choice Loghain or Alistair, I found Loghian less repulsive than a templar (even a failed one)

Leaguer, I admire your perserverence and I share your viewpoint, but at this point you're arguing with a wall. This is going nowhere, and derailing the thread.

Seriously, with all the crazy sex going on with no plague or people being stoned does not make it clear enough.

And now I can't take you seriously anymore.
Who said I forgave Alistair?
Don't tell me you actually believe that uber moral Alistair had any shady dealings while he was training to be a Templar? O.O If you listen hard you just heard my heart shatter at even the possibility someone could think that of him.

Except saying put to the question is STANDARD ENGLISH for torture, you are arguing that a Sub isn't a sandwhich here.
Debating is great but let's not start insulting fan bases or anything, especially the Cullenites. They're simply cute and excited, and generally very respectful of dissenting opinions. Leave them alone.
I agree, I actually think when he joined he was the "wanted to be a hero" type.
LIKE! To both of these and thanks BabyFratelli after all, I'm a cullenite and I'm here respectfully discussing this thread. We are nice people I tell ya

Loghain had the courage of his convictions, Alistair was a snivelling worm. That is why I have more respect for Meredith than for Elthina at least Meredith followed her conscience, Elthina was just a weakling mewling that it wasn't fair.

Except dragon age is not using standard english beliefs, concepts, morals, references, or points.

We're done. The boat has sailed.

I may become one myself after I play the game. ![]()

made me chuckle. Before people get worried I am no where near this uncompromising in real life. On most issues anyway.
Redemption. People are being tortured in Kirkwall. I think its a dalish elf to be specific. I assume it takes place in act 1/2 because of the qunari being there. And I don't see how Cullen couldn't have known about it. Unless there was a group going against what their superiors wanted(which we didn't see any sign of until act 2....)
Call me Elli.
If Cullen had anything to do with torture or "doing what has to be done" he'd be a great addition to the team. But last time he tried to torture someone, if Hawke wasn't there to save him he'd be food for crows. On the other hand Templars are wussies and can only torture scared little girls.
Where can an honest Inquisitor find useful people to recruit?
it's the clash that gets me, we can be kill em all about mages in DA2, but appear to be denied the chance to do the opposite in any way shape or form.

I think there would have been plenty of small groups within the Templars going around and doing what they thought was "right" whether it be for or against mages. It happens all throughout the game starting from act 1 and Cullen never mentioned having knowledge of those. Oh Cullen, so, so, so oblivious.
Thrask in act 1 with the apostates from Starkhaven
Alrik in act 2 with the Mage in the tunnels beneath the gallows
And I don't think I need to point out examples from act 3 because it is rife with Templars breaking off into their own little groups and doing what ever the hell they want.
eh. idk this was in a dungeon(presumably in the gallows). its hard to see how that could be over looked. Plus I seriously doubt Cullen is above torture or just about any of the other "abuses" the Templars are known for. Wouldn't peg him as a rapist though...
I've just read the interview. It seems like we get him early.
WMG ahead!
By the sounds of things Cassandra sees the Inquisitor as a means to an end and sets up the Inquisition with Leliana, Cullen and maybe Vivenne as a new Chantry-based organisation. Presumably Solas, Cole and Dorian are later additions. I actually kind of hope this is true. I'd love to begin as ostensibly a pro-chantry organisation and then steadily take control and become more pro-mage. Vivienne and Cassandra's reactions will be precious.
