Who would love to see an animated series set in the Mass Effect universe? I think it would kick ass! Now with Star Wars The Clone Wars finished I think there is room for more animated Sci Fi. What would be a good name for such an series? Mass Effect Galaxy? Mass Effect Chronicles? What kind of stories would you want to be told? C-SEC? Batarian slavers? Mercenaries? Intergalactic politics?

I would actually love to see an animated series made within that universe, much more than I would a movie. Film is great, but the MEU is far too rich to be reduced to a motion picture. A series can cover any story, or multiple stories and many character arcs and avoid the reaper plot all together and still work well.

Which style of animation would you want? I would prefer some western style animation for a change.

To be honest it reminds me a little of Lilo and Stitch lol.

I love 2D animation, but I think for something like Mass Effect, CGI would probably serve it best. The Clone Wars actually had some really good animation, and while the actual character design was spotty in places, I found it easy to forgive because the motion was fluid and the environments were very well done.

Would watch. Either 2d anime-ish or CGI, as long as it is done tastefully and truly represents the ME universe.

I'd like a 2D or even a CGI style cartoon show in the vein of Clone wars, TMNT, Green Lantern, Beware the Bat, etc, since I feel either medium could do justice to the visual style of the setting. Doing a story just set in the setting with original characters would be a wonderful way of expending the setting to the large swaths of galactic parts we didn't get to see in the games or the comics.

Mass Effect isn't exactly meant for older (7-14 or something) children though, unlike the clone wars series. It'd have to have a more mature style in order to fit ...or maybe not now that I think about it.

What animation style would best suit the mass effect universe? The style that was done for Paragon Lost was apparently done by the guys who made Ghost in the Shell (Love that series.) but it didn't seem to work that well.Alot of the animations seemed to be very choppy ,incomplete and less than expected.I don't really think that an animation style akin to that of the Clone Wars would work in my opinion as it seems a little kiddish to me and "kiddish" isn't really something  meant to be associated with the Mass Effect Universe.Granted;the Clone Wars actually did end up becoming pretty brutal in later seasons...

So what would actually work? What would appeal to the audience most? If it comes to C.G I'd rather they just hire blur to do everything...but that would be millions lost for a gamble with to little gain.
Unless of course Mass Effect and Anime/Cartoon fans are willing to spend a little bit o' moolah...

(Just contemplating is all)

That intro's intro had slightly too much text in the beginning.

If the quality was something similar to TOR's trailers it would be marvelous. Although I can see why that would be asking for too much.

Wasn't there a Mass Effect anime done for ME3 for one of the characters? Never saw it so not sure how well it turned out. I think a series would be great but what is wrong going live action? Follow in the same vain as Star Trek and Babylon 5 on the small screen. Really I would just like to see more ME in some form out there.

Does this style look childish?

CGI for sure. 2D would be good as long as it wasn't anime styled animations.

I would love to see a mass effect cartoon/anime , I am reading a story on the fanfiction  web site set during the reaper war  based on the galaxy of war multiplayer that would be great (it over 500 chapters)

Mass Effect based TV show would be good due it background, as there are no good sci-fi shows on not since the end of Babylon 5, Stargate, Farscape

How about an TV series about this battle? I love love an animated series about this battle done in the style of Genndy Tartakovsky's animation. I think that would be epic!

TBH... I wouldn't accept anything less than the quality of the trailers. I couldn't watch anything that had the "kiddie-cartoony" feel no matter the style.

Many people believe animation is only for children and all adult oriented aimation is only comedy. Maybe an action oriented Sci Fi cartoon can change those perceptions.

^I agree. I'm a huge proponent of animated feature films and series, and they comprise the bulk of my all-time favorites among everything I've ever watched.

More than likely, an animated series that goes CGI would be, at the most, on the level of the Clone Wars series, albeit with a different art style for the characters themselves. Considering how well the show was animated and how good the effects were, I'd say that it would be a pretty good setup. Anything less than the quality of the trailers is inevitable. Obviously a trailer can be at whatever level of detail they want, because it's just a few minutes. That short clip in itself is probably far too expensive to drag out for many hours over the course of multiple episodes.

One thing I loved about Mass Effect were the environments. Would you like to see environments like this in a Sci Fi animated series?

I'd like to see the animation style that Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood used for a Mass Effect tv show.

I never cared for animation like SW: the clone wars, and like said before, ME: Galaxy's was too much like Lilo and Stich

I agree. Wouldn't a darker grittier style of animation be better suited for Mass Effect?

This style reminds me a little of Samurai Jack.
