Sure you were. I specifically answered the OP's question and you chose to chime in with "like it or not".  That's rather snide if you ask me. Not everyone agrees with the inflectional virus that is MP.

Pretty funny and pretty typical, enter a thread talking about what people would like to see in ME4 multiplayer, NOT and opinion thread asking if you want it in.  Get offended by a perceived 'snide' remark.  IMMEDIATELY make a snide remark of your own by calling multiplay an inflectional  virus.  Don't be such a bloody wuss, if you are going to enter a thread in which you should 100% know for sure your comment will be challenged don't act so butt hurt, especially when you are being a friggin hypocrite by tossing around the word 'snide'.

Only thing that really bugged me was that it took forever to join a friend's game.

I'm sorry... and you are?

FYI this an open forum, genius. I am free to express my opinion in ANY thread.

You can kiss my butthurt.

It's not about being challenged but the way it was challenged and the verbiage used. Why does it matter to you anyway? FTR.. that's a hypothetical question so do go out of your way to answer. You're not that important anyway.

I'm not interested much in multiplayer.

I think they should focus on the single player experience above all else.

It's Mass Effect, an amazing trilogy with a fantastic, memorable, emotionally engaging, immersive narrative.  Don't let multi player degrade that experience, I say.

I'm not saying that they shouldn't have MP at all, as it can be very fun if done properly.  However, as this is a new story within the ME world, character development and plot may suffer as a result of too much of a focus on MP.

Oh, and most importantly (and a little off topic), this should go without saying, but don't let EA meddle with Bioware's vision for the game.

I haven't had the best experience with ME 3's multiplayer. It mostly felt like an afterthought to pad their pockets imho. True, it could be fun every once in awhile but if they have to do MP again I sincerely hope it is in a better format. Also separate from single player. Please.

1/2, I would like, but it would cause too much lag unless you only see you customized character and everyone else is defaults.
3 I prefer armor and states to be apart.
4 no, the weakness of the character made the game more balanced compared to the main game.

5 new enemy are a given unless they set it back in the reaper war, but I don’t see past ones, like the eclipse, being the new ones.
6 a Prothean would be nice or at least another Collector.

7 if there is full customization then it would be pointless NOT to have it, so yes.
8 plays a Krogan, (maybe, I’m not really sure on this one.)

9 I hate the instakills in general so I say remove them.
10/11 no opinion.

12 not my cap of tea, but to each their own.

13 if they make different game mode then yes.

14 it is possible to be playing the other classes with a huge focus on weapons and/or mainly use passive powers, so no.
15 sure.
15, the 2nd one, cool idea.

16 the Classes/kits were made to make you feel like you were the races you were play so if they can do that for each class/race then I’m all for it, if not then no. maybe have the main classes then the race changes some of their skill, like a Krogan would get bloodrage where as a N7 shadow would get their sword passive.

17 the Wave format worked because they could come at you from all sides and all Hint the box format. With more game modes I could see more maps and more options. For example in a survival mode you can lock down door and such.
18. YES.
19 Nice.
20 I would like to see all the Races/Classes unlocked from the start.
21 yes.
22 yes, and it also links with my idea too.
23 yes.

A>My idea is story driven missions, like the Flashpoints from swtor.

B>The main modes I would like to see.
Wave mode
survival mode
Flashpoints.
Maybe a few fun/joke modes too.

These are some awesome ideas, man! Now we don't know much about the species and setting, but I completely agree with all of your ideas!

I like the fighting back part, especially when I'm my warlord,or at the very least give him immunity,it can interrupt the animation of the hammer swing and that is just bull

I would like more player freedom.

Full character creator. Race, face, armor, even abilities. That's right. Choosing your very own skillset. No more of this crappy pre made kit crap. I would like to create my very own character.

Bigger arenas. Maybe even progressing through a level through a series of objectives and checkpoints, instead of just sitting in the same closed off box the entire time. When selecting a character, let us choose our powers based on which class we're playing as instead of them being permanently assigned.

I think this is really what makes multiplayer ultimately feel a little empty. The arenas are small and it doesn't feel like a mission. It feels like Grunt's rite of passage. I'd love to see a squad journeying through some sort of terrain, without the waves.

I also agree with another person about the character creator. I'd like to have the ability to create unique looking characters beyond just selecting colors for the armor.

I seem to remember that when they were making ME3 they claimed that MP would not take resources from the SP.  Judging from the unpolished nature of ME3 (especially the beginning) I would say that this is pure farce, or folly.

I'm not trying to be snooty here, or draw fire - because I played the MP 99% more than the SP.  Were it not for the MP, I think that ME3 was a total bomb.

If ME Next has MP I think it would be cool.  Rather than 11 waves, how about a bigger map with objectives, vehicles - and teammates actually supporting each other.  Things like Engineers boost shields, repair devices faster, infiltrators boost situational awareness (distance enemies are detected at), Soldiers boost fire rate / accuracy - things along these lines.  Capture enemy strongholds, hack their computer and get out, move to the next objective in your Mako or Hammerhead and repair an ATLAS or activate the defensive mech units.  Finally, after 4 or 5 Objectives you have to get to the LZ and defend it.  I'd love for it to be totally dynamic and fast paced - with harder difficulties giving stronger and better units to fight (and drops).  Scrap the store that's just a lottery style deal.

Along the lines of what Morphone said though - I want the SP to be the main part of the game.  I want to see the polish that ME2 has in ME Next.

I honestly would be happy if ME:Next returns to his singleplayer roots so I would rejoice if ME:Next has NO MP.

however

considering how apparently ME3 MP was so successful (not for me) I feel it will be back again in some form. The only thing i ask is to make it detached from the main story and please don't force us into playing it if we want the best outcome of our campaign.

MP only draws resources from SP if its added late in development otherwise its has its own resources, as for the the overall consensus is most likely that its good but the ending left a lot to be desired so I wouldn't call the SP a bomb.

Well, no - the game had some trash in it even ignoring the ending.  I cannot believe that the Alliance Systems Command (a bunch of Admirals) would just sit there and ask a Former Commander (Shepard) "What do we do?", like a bunch of idiots.  The lack of a traceable quest system was horrible - as was simply trolling and lurking about in the Citadel so that you could get your Galactic Readiness up to par.  The lack of a boss fight still stings to this day.  The overall, horrible, depressing miasma of the game just makes it suck.

I call SP a bomb.  Period.  Sure, there are good parts, but overall, I find it lacking in a lot of areas.  The game felt rushed and cheap.  I am sure that more resources could have been put to good use had they been applied to the SP campaign.   Don't get me wrong though, I love the MP and do not want to detract from its value.

Lets not turn this into a ******-for-tat about if the game is a bomb or not - whats done is done.  Some people liked it, others did not.  I have my opinions, and you have yours.

I stopped reading when you said that Quarians were awful.

By the way, did anyone mention that there's an entire subforum dedicated to the Multiplayer and there's no need for this to be in Scuttlebutt?

Mass Effect MP was the most fun I had in an MP game since Doom.

So all I ask for the developers, is to focus on fun, not on features. I couldn't care less about realism or whatever, people can play ARMA if they want realism. Or better even, take a walk through Harlem at night, wearing Nikes, a gold watch and designer shades.

LOL  Gave me a good chuckle!

An interesting part of all this is that I didn't want MP in ME3 at all.  Lo and behold, it became the only part of ME3 I liked.  Now that we are discussing MENext options, I am actually leaning towards seeing MP again.

No more cheap "stun lock chain o' Death" for starters.

I'd honestly like to see more than just wave survival. I'd love some different game modes, especially mini campaigns in a similar style to the Left 4 Dead games.

For the next ME game in general (carrying over to MP) more than two weapon mods, and for them to affect the appearance of the weapon similar to how the Payday games does.

I want to be able to control one of the companions during missions and add variety to friends conversations. Similar to Star Wars the Old Republic and a few other games where there can be a conflict in conversations with multiple players. For the more generic multiplier I would like to play the side battles. The sort of things that are happening elsewhere in the game from the main protagonist.

The dlc was on a schedule. Most would have been done regardless, considering things like Omega and From Ashes were cut for further profits. Hell I dont think the dlc numbers have even been released yet, I may be wrong.
