Is this a screenshot from the PS1? Or is this a temp mesh?
I really hope it's the latter.

I'd be worried if he were dressed in the finest Orlaisian silks, wouldn't you?
Now, will I notice this when I'm sitting on my sofa, ten feet away from the monitor? That's truly my concern here.

Instead, he's wearing painted cardboard, what an improvement !
Even though I agree that Cullen's armor looks rather bad, even if compared with previous DA games but I feel there are better ways to address the shortcomings than starting off with sarcasm in the thread title. Not to mention I really hate arguments which compare graphics with whatever previous platform just as much as comparisons with a specific year. There are no standard graphics each year and it just makes an argument rather weak.
I was wondering who it was in that armor in the trailer. Did you also notice someone is wearing Morrigan's Robes of Possession? Who do you think that is? It looked like a party shot and it was not the only female mage e have- Vivienne.
Give them a break, everything is still a WIP.
Well there are alot of bugs going on in the game currently and the game is still in pre-alpha. These screenshots are not the final product, Bioware is still making improvements.
Yeah, that stuck out to me too. The rest of the armour looks fine, but them fur textures. Since I assume we can't change his armour, and that he'll be involved in a lot of talky cut scenes and it is right next to his head, I really hope that they're improved before launch.

Didn't notice, don't care.
They should be more attentive to the playmobil hairs.
Oh the joy of 7th Gen console scaling.
Surely it's not feathers?? It just looks absurd.
He....he....he.... had plucked Anders??!!
A bit interesting how BW keeps releasing official sceenshots of their game if things are still WIP. People will get the wrong impression and conclude that it doesn't look that great as they claim it to be.
Agreed. That "chaaarge" screen with a sword is also far from perfect. And that makes me wonder.
Usually site screens and demos look even better that real in-game renders. Hopefully this is not the case. Most of the current "official" characters do not look well.
And that helmet...? We've seen some of orlesian fighters in MotA. I can't remember anything like that. Not to mention that last time I've seen Ser Cullen he was not exactly an Orlesian.
I've supported Kickstarters for games like Pillars of Eternity, Wasteland 2, Paradise Lost: First Contact, and most recently Insomnia. I recently bought Shovel Knight, Baldur's gate I & II enhanced edition, Psychonauts, Risk of Rain, and The Wolf Among Us.
Please explain to me WHY I should care about this screenshot?
Why must we pick apart a game that isn't even done yet?
Everyone wants to meet the companions and advisers... they scramble to show us companions and advisers as they get complete enough to do so. Now there are complaints about things not being perfect in a game that's still WIP...? Let 'em finish the damn thing. If it looks bad at launch we can all be horrified then.
It's pretty obvious that the texture looks bad. Whatever it is supposed to represent.
No reason to go into "WIP" or that stuff. The game is out in 3 months.
The environments look awesome in DA:I, but, unfortunetely, characters and armor look kinda worse. I hope i'm proven wrong in game.
Although, to be fair, not all characters and armor look weird. Only specific ones, and specific armor. So there is hope.
