What are some of your theories on how if at all the fade rifts will affect magic? Personally I believe it could cause magic to grow in potency as the fade becomes one with the physical world.

Since the Fade is now literally connected to Thedas, I think any Tranquil near the Breaches may have their Tranquility reversed within a certain range.

I'm mainly wondering what happens to a tranquil near a fade rip. Will they become like they used to be?

That would make sense, we already know that it's possible to reverse tranquillity. Also in DA2 when the Fade was brought out in Anders near Karl it returned him to his former self for a few moments.

There is already evidence of this, but it hasn't been said here yet.

Demons will no longer need to possess anyone/thing to remain in the world. They can cross over and remain in their own bodies.

Spirits may actually get pulled through on accident and need help getting back to the fade, or will take up the cause of their virtue in Thedas (Like Justice did, other spirits such as Compassion, Wisdom, etc.)

I'm sure Demons would still want to possess just to gain more power

Tranquility possibly being reversed and hopefully magic becoming stronger. I hope the Rift Mage specialization will be connected with it somehow.

It would be pretty bad ass if the inquisitors fade hand could reverse tranquility.

One thing that I can see happening to areas around the fade tears is that the physical world will start to take on aspects of the metaphysical world. What I mean is, a castle may begin to take on aspects of the people who live there.

The walls may become jagged and bristled with thorns, reflecting the anger of the people trapped in a siege. The larder could become a bright, sweet smelling repository in response to the inhabitants' cherishment of live sustaining food. The small temple dedicated to andraste could become elegant and stately, or dark and forboding depending on the people's measure of faith. Etc.

I suppose that's possible, I think it was hinted that the Inquisitor's hand could do more than just close the rifts but I get the feeling that'd be a near the end of the game kind of thing.

Can it cause Tranquility instead?

Damn, I would use and abuse that.

"You are no longer my master.

Wait, Fenris. Let him talk to the hand, instead."

Demons will no longer need to possess anyone/thing to remain in the world. They can cross over and remain in their own bodies.

Only the most powerful of demons can construct a body when not in the fade. Most of them have to highjack corpses, plants, people or use dust/ashes to make one for extended periods of times. Demons expands energy to remain in the none-Fade world, once they are too weak they just return to the Fade (this is what happens when you "kill" them too, you are actually weakening them).

Demon can probably stay corporal longer close to rift because there is "fade energy" coming through though.
