I played nonstop since January 2013. Took a break (retired) in June 2013 to play ME3 SP (I started on MP before finishing SP), and move on to play the piles of games I kept buying through this generation of consoles, but was dragged back by friends only so they retire on me.

Am currently going through this phase again, playing other games, while playing a game or 2 on my alt account every week or so, so I wouldn't be out of practice if I ever return.

Kudos to one of the best NIN songs. Anyway, I have taken several breaks. Hell, I'm on one right now. Been playing Resident Evil Revelations as I got that at a bargain price.

Last break I took was about 2 or 3 months for Pokemon x and y.

When I first got the game I didnt touch multiplayer about a month later I got invited to play and it was my first time playing the multiplayer and we were farming Gold on firebase glacier when they had that room opened.

I then took like an 8month break and started playing on and off. And after that break I started playing regularly for hours I transitioned the legit way to gold in a matter of weeks. Then platinum came out and I started the box of shame.

I took about a 4 month break after that started back playing regularly. Started getting on the multiplayer section of the forums met people transitioned to platinum.

Now I play about twice a month

I didn't start playing MP until shortly before I finished the SP, to get my Galaxy at War rating up.  Haven't stopped playing since.

I took a year hiatus from all games to build my mega-gaming PC after my graduation from consoles. Came back in March.

Building gaming rigs is too much fun. And expensive.

It took me a few weeks after release before I ventured onto MP. I was instantly hooked and spent a great deal of time over the following year playing. However I had to take an enforced break of 9 months when I moved to the UK and didn't get around to buying a new PS3. I've been back in the game for the past four months or so and it feels good to be back. I'll take another break when DA3 comes out

Oh that's where you went, that makes sense. I deleted you cause you just went off the grid without any warning and back then my friendslist was almost at the 100 limit cap. DAI looks really good, even though I never played any previous Dragon Age. 

 

I'm been off ME3 for more or less 3 months. I stopped playing frequently after March.

Technically SC4 and RollerCoaster Tycoon are my addictions. I've heard Warframe is pretty similar to ME3, I haven't actually played it yet. Destiny will probably become my new ME3 fix.

I have taken multiple extended breaks from both ME3MP and BSN.

 

I show up, be witty and charming, then disappear for months at a time.... I am the deadbeat dad of BSN.

I've only taken two breaks as long as a week twice since I started playing MP.  The first time was to play The Last of Us, which was well worth it (SP only though), and the second was a serious effort to take stock of my life and plan for a lucrative, exciting future.  

 

I'll let you know how that works out, but in the meantime I'm still playing, and most likely will be until the next one comes along.

Took a 6 month break! Then fired up a new Shepard in ME and came back into MP. An old buddy of mine & I play on the weekends when we can. Really miss the bounty weeks! Love & miss them! Would be fun to have them back every once in a while, hint hint!

Stopped playing all the time after Christmas when the bs got to me after Plat soloing then Warframe caught me.

Aetika still drags me back for a few games a week.

 

That´s me, that´s my life now. Dragging scrubs back to were they belong. But it´s ok, it is my public duty! 

 

On topic, I do play less then before, but I never took any real break. Well, except for the week I went to holidays last year.

Speaking for myself, but the World Cup has really cut down my ME3 activity - a lot! Especially, when you had 3 matches a day. Now that the Final is over and Germany has won, expect me to return in full force.
