Awesome. If you've seen my stance on it you'll know I've said just that in the past - not that it made any difference. I mean, in the post you quote I state straight up that it was a mistake, but again not that it made any difference.
The main reason why I framed it like that is because I was leaving open the possibility that it's seen as an easter egg scene and not intended to be seen as a distinct ending - but obviously fans see it otherwise (which is fine, authorial intent doesn't matter all that much once it's out the door and in the public's hands. I didn't work on the game so I couldn't say for sure the motivations behind the scene)...........
Edit:
snipped for sanity........
Personally for me and I suspect for others too what makes it such a big issue was that a potential piece of SP content was tied by extension of Galactic Readiness to MP, what concerns me most is that not only did someone at BW think up this idea which was bad enough but it was then compounded by being green lighted. When SP should have been completely and utterly isolated from the MP by also not having Galactic Readiness linked in anyway to MP at all.
While Mass Effect and Dragon Age are apparently done by different teams at different studio's factor in this past unforgivable monumental error,The current "wall of silence" around whether or not DAI has MP and parent company EA's notorious history of "every game must have MP,timed exclusivity deals and Micro Transactions" people are rightly and vocally concerned that this will happen again, I appreciate Bioware would not want to get themselves in a situation where people would cancel their pre orders or request full refunds on masse, but right now not confirming its existence or lack of is doing more harm than good.
