All I'm able to say is so far so good imo. But of course still room for potential disappointment.

I have been avoiding spoilers (as best I can) but the "leaked" Achievements list really does mention MP?

There's an achievement called "Venturing Forth", and the requirements for it are "Reach the second stage in a multiplayer match".

We should remember though that the achievements are not confirmed to be real, at this point.

It's also worth noting that when ME3's multiplayer was leaked the team's response was to confirm it and release a trailer about a week afterwards. It's also notable that ME3's multiplayer was publicly announced more than six months before release and that there was a public beta in order to fine tune it.

I doubt it being leaked had much to do with that. Also that public beta was not fine tuning, it was a "this is an awesome mode that's gonna get sales and hype" and it did.

Edit: I really messed up the quotation :D

Hmm, that's a rather odd requirement for a MP achievement (if true). Why only the second stage; unless MP is only two stages long, but even then wouldn't it make more sense to say "Complete a match in MP."?

We should remember though that the achievements are not confirmed to be real, at this point.

Wise words, and I am taking everything with a grain of salt until it is officially confirmed by BioWare.

Indeed.

It's all speculation based on very little and the rumours that are there may well be fake.

As the days click down, the slim possibility of success approaches zero.

The issue I had with that galactic
Readiness gating was that it was impossible to achieve that GR within the single player game only. I don't want to have to play mp, or download apps, or buy DLC, in order to get the only ending with a sense of
'Hope' to it.

A SP game should be entirely self contained. Would removing the scene solve the problem? Arguably yes. But it would have made the already ... Controversial ... endings/outcomes even bleaker. As a player who likes the fantasy of being a hero in video games, that design choice would put me off the franchise going forward. Maybe that's ok with you. But please accept that a solution that further degrades my satisfaction with the SP experience relative to a solution that properly silos the entire SP experience is not going to be as acceptable to me.

It is true that we are three months away from release and we still have no mention of MP :(

But then I always have a small voice in my head that says: "We are three months away from release and BioWare still has not said that MP is not in DA:I."  :D

Option a.

I despise MP. I despise players who like MP. And devs who put MP into games are pretty low on my list of 'People I Can Tolerate', too.

Keep it out of your games, BioWare. The gaming industry will be a better place when you do.

Face it, if multiplayer was in DA:I they'd have announced it at Gamescom.  Feels SO good knowing there won't be any multiplayer.  I'm practically jumping for joy over here.

I prefer old school Bioware. Like Baldur's Gate and NWN. Why do they have to put MP into games recently??? Oops those games had it too ;)

Missed those games by a hair. Loved KOTOR, though.

If you wanna get me on hypocrisy points, I'm a die-hard Pokémon fan.

I am choosing to remain hopeful that MP will be in DA:I. After all more options to enjoy something is always a good thing.  :)

Seemginly you have had a bad expereince with mp in the past because in general you have no clue what you are talking about.  Despise players who like mp?  One of the dumbest comments I've seen on these forums,....in my opinion of course.

The good thing is because there is no mp the single player game will be twice as good no doubt about it due to the fact they have used that 5 million dollar mp budget to make the single player game the best it can be.  I'd be jumping for joy as well.

I'll admit it Chron0id, the facts may well be with you.

I guess we'll have to see, but every day that passes further supports your view.

Pax is probably the very last roll of the dice...

Not at all unhappy that the SP game looks awesome.

That's pretty harsh.

That's like saying you like vanilla ice cream. And then I say I also like vanilla ice cream, but I also sometimes like vanilla ice cream with chocolate sprinkles on it. And then you roll up with, "I despise chocolate sprinkles. I despise people who like chocolate sprinkles."

A bit much.

Any less tolerant than those MP fans who call people who don't like it antisocial loners?

There's still Pax Prime.  Multiplayer is not ruled out yet.

Please quote a post in this thread where someone who would appreciate MP in DA:I calls people who don't want it "antisocial loners". :)

Better to keep the excitement in check, in case there is multiplayer and you end up being even more disappointed.
