Does affect any of the single player story? I.e. Strength of the Inquisition to get better outcomes for ending/or other plots

Nope. No story impact, aside from themes.

Looks to be stand alone - no impact on single player.

 

Uses a team of 4: Warrior, Rogue, Archer, Mage - 'scout characters' not nameless helmeted grunts.

Yay, I've been hoping for basically a DA version of ME3 MP, because while the ME one is surely fun and all, I'm a lot better at DA combat (playing a shooter with no pause option... *shudders*). However, because I'm also paranoid thanks to ME3, I'll only be playing the MP after I'm finished with the SP campaign.

Oh god, you're right. Both of my long-term exes will likely be miffed if there's a radial menu in the SP on PC.

I'm excited. They did a really nice job with ME3 MP
It wasn't perfect but it was loads of fun
With that experience to draw from I'm really lookng forward to a fun DA themed MP.
I may be getting a digital copy of the game now too
Can't see getting rid of it for quite some time with the inclusion of MP

It'll make many happy, many unhappy, and many just shrug.

 

I'm still of the mind that some franchises should stay single player and this should've been one of them, but there you go. We'll see if MP adds a positive to DA in the long run. Too early to call now.
