Cain totally forgot about Stardusk. I watched more of Stardusk's vids than of everyone else's put together. I liked his voice, the way he spoke and the information.. I thought it was the model to follow. No fake enthusiasm!!!
I dunno, he was kinda like listening to a talking, slightly stoned, tree sloth - most laid back voice ever.
Well. to get back to the original topic -- yeah, I think the forum contributed a lot to my continuing with the game. I can't say whether, without it, I wouldn't have continued (so hypothetical)? Can certainly say that there's a lot of useful information here, plus a lot of entertaining comments. It's also the best gaming forum I've seen, in terms of: lots of active participants providing useful information, helpful contacts (to find good teammates), and moderators helping to keep it reasonably civil. I started a thread with a similar topic months (or a year?) ago. Kudos to Bioware for the forum!
I found forums always greatly contribute to making games more fun. Why whatever game I happen to be playing and really enjoying, I almost always find a forum for it or it's genre or what not.
Thought this forum when I first came on it was by far the busiest forum I've ever been on while the game was still active. Why I myself was not that active back then. Too much reading needed to keep up that eats into my gameplay time and free time. Even now I still skip most posts. Even in topics I start I'll eventually don't return to anymore. Even if they get bumped to the front page. And sometimes there are too many topics I want to read, but never get to most of them...

He really was awesome with a very awesome voice and sense of humor. Only vids I watched more then once too. Though he didn't have many at all when I seen them, so that helped too.

I kind of agree. Not of everyone who made an ME3 video, but practically every video, since I don't watch much videos at all or have the free time for + they teach others how to play too well and cheap too, thus doing great damage to boogieman's and others epeen.meters. ... What; my epeen meter? Well I can say no to rage gel, so it can't be that bad?

Anyways, one thing I love that you guys do to keep me playing the game is presenting random challenges. Things like SF's QFE lvl 1 consumable vs Collectors Rio (which took 45 effing minutes), or Pull-only DV. Lots of silly stuff that I do just for the lulz. I also like the game mechanics hypothesizing that goes on. I'll take a good debate about mechanics over an e-peen contest any day.
me0120, I just checked that old topic, and you didn't add your thoughts on that solo. I would very much love to hear the details. Good or bad, it don't matter, as long as it's your very honest opinion. I won't even make a rebuttal if you'd like.
Other then that I'm surprised to hear someone actually tried that... ditto for no Pull DV. It's always nice to hear folks messing around with new things & even challenging themselves a bit instead of just the same old, same old.

Please don't take this personally, but... I wish more people would have more respect for other's privacy and mind their own business. It's really nothing that should concern you or anyone else that doesn't already know all about it. And I'm not just talking about the Stardusk case, but in general. I understand curiosity, but we should all be able to rise above it.
As for me, I'm not entirely sure what it was all about - and I don't need to know. Stardusk is a great guy, I played quite a bit with him, and loved every minute of it. That's more than enough for me.

Yeah OP, if it wasn't for these forums I would have never have tried half of the kits, or really understood the mechanics of the game. Not to mention all of the balance changes bioware did in that first year. Good times for sure.
