BB]: Meredith was Cullen's commanding officer; he wanted to trust her. But standing against her paved the way for him to help form what would become the Inquisition. The templars failed to protect their charges and the people of Kirkwall. The Order has not lived up to its ideal, and though it wasn't easy for him, Cullen now recognizes that. It's something he's still processing, but he's looking to move forward and fight for something he can believe in. The whole world's falling apart, and Cullen won't sit by and watch that happen. He wants to be part of a solution. If that means serving the Inquisition instead of the Order, then that's what he's going to do.

I think it's pretty clear that he isn't, at least not officially.

The next line:

[DA]: As a former knight-captain, Cullen is certainly well-trained and experienced. What is his primary area of expertise?

seems indicative as well.

I agree on this.Leliana is part of the Chantry before the Breach event, as Cassandra. We don't know if she'll still be part of the Chantry.

Given how Loyal she is the Chantry, choosing the Chantry over her lover(if you romanced her) I think she will still be part of the Chantry. So I think I will trust her even less the I trust Cullen.

They may have all left their former organizations, even if temporary.

"Whatever we were before...we are now the Inquisition."

Or something to that effect.

Good point.  I didn't think of that.  But if the Warden romanced her, I could see my Warden telling her to go follow her passion to serve the Chantry.  After all, maybe our Warden went off on his own far away adventure?  Or maybe he died?

I still wish I could romance Leliana, though.  She was an awesome character.  Reminded me of Liara in so many ways, including the character growth.

She didn't choose the Chantry over her lover. She's not supposed to Work for the cause she believes in?
And no, while very religious her primary reason to join the Chantry was for help her friend and saviour, Justinia. Is very possible she won't continue to work for the Chantry after the events of DAI. Plus, the Inquisition is separated from the Chantry, and since Leliana is in the Inquisition...

I'd say Leliana is more loyal to the Divine than the Chantry, what with her blatantly heretical belief that the Maker spoke to her.

I'm not a big fan of Leliana, actually I hate her. I think that the whole time she traveled with the Warden she was a spy for Justine. She is a master spy.

Master spy. She could be keeping taps on it for the Chantry.

She probably wasn't.
1)Justinia wasn't the divine at the time.
2)If i recall, the interview stated she joined the Chantry and Justinia after DAO.
Plus, pray tell, who were she supposed to Spy?

Why? Her loyalty was in Justinia, who is dead and planned ten Inquisition. For what reason would she still work for the Chantry against the organization her friend wanted to form?
I don't have a problem with people hating pro-Chantry characters, but your theories are found on nothing.

Hardly, she is committed to Justinia's plan, not the leftover conservative members of the Chantry.

Justinia had her eye on the position of Grand Cleric from the beginning.

She was part of the Chantry before DA:O. She was in the Chantry for several years as lay sister.

What remains of the Chantry. They would want to keep tabs on the Inquisition, they are going to have lot of power, possibly even make big changes and the Chantry is going to want those changes to be in their favor.

Justina didn't form the inquisition. It from seperate  from the Chantry. The reason, to make sure things don't change and if they do it is in the Chantry's favor.

Hardly. From what I hear, the Chantry (after Justinia's death) has somewhat disavowed the inquisition. The conservative members are not willing to do anything to combat the Breach.

Justinia isn't as good or kind as some think. Read Masked Empire or even the spark notes. A big event in that book is caused by Justinia.

Nope. The fledging Inquisition is already formed at the end of DA2, and the devs said that the Inquisition is something Justinia and cassandra planned. The latter separated it from the Chantry after the Breach event.
So no, Leliana has no reason to Spy the Inquisition for the Chantry, since it was Justinia's idea and she joined already in DA2.

The Inquisition could bring about change and change for an organization like the Chantry would be a bad thing, With change they stand to lose what little power they have left.

It's not about good or bad. Is about Leliana following Justinia's wishes against the Other leaders of the Chantry.

Okay. You're right. But I still hate Leliana for several reason.

Resulting in the deaths of hundreds if not thousands of elves, just for the "Game".

That had nothing to do with Justina.  All she said, through Leliana, was that Celene should put her own house in order before attending to Chantry affairs.  Which Celene was going to do with a single assassination.  Gaspard's supporters influenced Celene's actions, not Justina.

Yeah Justina did. Sure Gaspard had a hand in it but it was Justina told her to do it. Leliana even knew that Justinia wanted Celene to kill the elves.

I could swear this thread had Cullen in the title.

At the end of the day, at least 2/3 of our advisers have strong links to the Chantry. You can either like it or hate it but at the end of the day, if you want to play the game it appears you have to deal with it.

If you go in from a non-metagaming perspective, you never know, you might even have fun :)

I actually have a feeling Cullen might be a really great character in Inquisition.

I can't help but shake the feeling that he may sacrifice him self in an epic Commander Shepard-style way.

Look at the scene with Leliana, she almost looks like she is trying to pull a similar tactic, although the devs said that specific circumstance could be avoided, or could have even been worse, based on previous player choices and actions.

No way I can't metagame.  Any good RPG requires a bit of metagaming.  As a DND player, metagaming the only way to lay a good foundation of decision making.  Plus knowing the lore and backstories makes the game so much more immersive!  I'll metagame, and I'll have even more fun than those that don't, I assure you, friend.  (:

Good point on the Chantry, though.
