You can save the workers and still gain his loyalty

I've never saved the workers, its Zaeeds mission, whatever he wants to do, we do. Same with Garrus killing Sidonis, Mordin killing his former protege, Miranda killing her only friend etc. They're grown adults, they can make their own decisions, I'm just a passenger along for the ride.

Why should the player always be able to do everything he wants to do? What's wrong with occasionally forcing the player to actually choose between options?

I agree, it felt weird when my paragon guy could still keep Zaeed along after going against him the whole mission. The loyalty mission should have been a lot more about choice than stat check. Either compromise your ideals to try to bring everyone on board or don't and take the rist of undergoing the final mission without everybody. That would have been far more interesting

Wait...let me try to process all this somehow:

So like I get this man-bro-nerd in my team and he's like all cool and stuff and wants to be bff with humanity, compassionate

-Nerd?Wants to be bff with humanity!?Compassionate!!!???

Is this seriously about Zaeed, because one I at least know is none of these things especially not compassionate. In fact Zaeed I know(even from first time I saw him)is one crazy old motherf*cker that gives no sh*t about humanity as long as he is paid he gives no sh*t with who he works for and as long as you don't get in his way!So about who are you talking again in here!?

then after half the game I go and like do his loyalty stuff and he goes full Rambo-modo and destroys things boom-boom, at which point me cavalier of justice and "good/evil doesn't matter anyway" paladin decide to punch him and save some folks.

-He suddenly goes full Rambo-modo?And you are surprised at fact that Zaeed likes things to go kaboom!!!???

When Zaeed wasn't in full "Rambo-modo" and destructive a$$-mode!?Seriously love why are you surprised at all this...it's Zaeed even from first time you meet him you can see that he is one to destroy not to give a sh*t about justice or whatever....so once again is this post really about ZAEEED!!!??? Because the more you talk about "your Zaeed" the more I don't understand then what kind of Zaeed me and rest of people in here got...because your Zaeed seems like nice fellow at first that later goes full "Darth Vader" in end...Zaeed we all at least know and saw was "Walking-Bomb" since very start...I don't recall "nice Zaeed"...so seriously where did you get that nice of yours Zaeed you are talking about I'm sure that everyone in here wanders the same thing!?

First he goes like goodie two shoes then he sees this guy that stole a candy from him 20 years ago and he has a grudge for and goes like "Shepturd, you ain't pulling this joke on me again, I want my candy back and I want it now."

-When was Zaeed once again I ask nice and two-shoes goodie!!!???So how the hell did he transformed in completely another character when Zaeed was all for "destroy and kill" since very own start!!!!!!!!!!!!????????

So I'm going to take it all as just "joke-post" because none of things you are talking about has nothing to do with Zaeed and it has zero sense. So if this is a joke then congrats on nice joke-post.

If this is just to stir a fire then congrats on nice troll-post.

And if this thing is really serious then congrats on most dumb-post.

Who cares about some workers? You can always hire new ones.

Zaeed loyalty is more critical.

The Assault Rifle Upgrade is more critical.

For paragon playthroughs...

Game begins. I do tutorial missions, and then I go to Omega, recruit Zaeed, recruit Garrus, recruit Mordin, go the the Citadel, recruit Kasumi, do Kasumi's loyalty mission... choosing mostly paragon options all the way. I then do Zaeed's loyalty mission, choosing to save the workers.

Never an issue choosing the paragon option, never any issues gaining his loyalty.

The trick is to do his mission early, though it doesn't have to be immediately, there's some wiggle room to play around with,
