In any case what does it matter if the dalish myths are right or wrong? Those pathetic stories and heresies got destroyed by the glory that is the Tevinter Imperium and so it should stay in oblivion!

How would you simply conduct yourself with some maturity and discuss things civilly? I made it clear I disagreed with Dean's assertion that the Dalish are comparable to the Taliban; nothing I said warranted personal attacks against me. You're welcome to actually discuss the matter with me if you wish to, or even follow raging monkey or Mystic's suggestion to actually discuss Dalish folklore lore, but I didn't say anything to warrant any personal attacks against me. I don't think that's too much to ask for.

By all means, but you first. Necroing the same dead thread twice over to get the last word in is hardly civil or mature. If you're going to resort to childish behaviour expect people to call you out on it.

Sure it is. No one wants to discuss the matter with you, and yet you keep bringing it back up.

 

Right now, in this thread, you're that uncool kid in class who keeps talking about an old fad well after everyone else has moved on. When pointed out that everyone else has moved on and would rather the discussion fade, your response is to try and repeat the topic. Which is why you're an uncool kid.

 

If anyone else were interested in the discussion, they could post in it- or even post a new thread. They aren't. You just keep bringing back necromancy.

I addressed all the points Dean previously brought up when he said the Dalish were comparable to the Taliban; that doesn't warrant personal attacks against me, which seems to be the entirety of every response made by people who have since participated in this thread. There's nothing childish about disagreeing with someone; there is a severe lack of composure when people feel the need to start mudslinging because I returned after a long absence and make some points in disagreement in an old thread.

 

Mudslinging also doesn't equate to calling someone out; insulting someone doesn't equal calling someone out.

There's nothing childish about disagreeing with someone; there is a severe lack of composure when people feel the need to start mudslinging because I returned after a long absence and make some points in disagreement in an old thread.

 

No you see that is the problem. There is nothing childish about disagreeing with someone. But it does come across as exceedingly childish to continuously revive dead conversations to 'make some points of disagreement'. Seemingly, you're the only one that doesn't understand that trying to sneak in the last word is poor form and poor taste.

 

 

Mudslinging also doesn't equate to calling someone out; insulting someone doesn't equal calling someone out.

 

 

It's not mudslinging when people are accurately calling you out on your behaviour, even if they make light of it while doing so.
