Never thought about it that way. Just a fun thought that I had as to maybe explain why Legion did what he did with no explanation. While cool for dramatic effect it was never fully explained. This was just some harmless analysis as to why maybe he did what he did. Plus if you destroyed which I did...twice.. I don't like to think of the Geth as gone. Legion was a Geth apart and the idea that he found a back door or a way to protect the consensus is something that gives me hope. Simple as that.

I don't feel too bad about Legion. He was a sneaky one... Not to be trusted. I think his sacrifice was over-the-top drama and unnecessary. If he had just waited a bit, Shepard would have figured out something. He missed a really boss party too.

just saying...

Well I don't know if they seen it coming but I do suspect that the starbrat is Harbringer as a troll. I do think He was screwing with us.

Really? I could see him dancing with EDI and Joker getting jealous and trying to convince Javik to throw Legion out the window.

According to the shadowbroker files it looks like EDI dismissed Legions advances. And their interactions.

EDI never saw him dance. Since time is immaterial to synthetics, Legion just had to wait for an opening. When Joker initially refuses to dance with EDI, he's got one.

I don't belive Legion, Reapers, (or anybody) knew what was coming until the Crucible docked.   Catalyst explicitly said, quote "the [improved & modified] Crucible changed me" ... thus providing the 3 ending options.

What I find curious about Legion is this....

In the ME2 loyalty missions, Legion & Shep visited a "vault" of many Geth that we know are 100% software (per Legion).  To me, that implies any of those Geth could occuply an external platform (as EDI calls it also).

If that's a fact, then Legion could reinstate himself into any other [undamaged] platform.  The only thing different would be he would not retain any of his memories since he was last "BACKED UP".    In that case, the other Geth (networked) could easily bring Legion up to speed from the time Legion croaked.

In short, you can't destroy a Geth by immobilizing it's platform -- you can only destroy a Geth by erasing its backed-up software (which was the situation in ME3's mission where Shep shot the orange & yellow boxes, each represending an "infected" Geth).

In essence, a 'geth' is an idea. At least much more than organics are. But Legion, by the end of ME2 if you help him along and have him survive, becomes more than that. He at least partially becomes a 'person'. The GethVI can't quite compare (basically a 'CloneLegion' heh) to Legion's experiences since he became more detached from the Consensus a while back.
