Yeah only Orlesians and their fanbase think otherwise.

No point in living if you aren't living right.
And living right is living by a rigid code, whether it's the code of a Ferelden knight or a Orlesian chevalier?
Living right includes making up your mind for yourself and adapting to the situation, rather than remaining by a rigid code - which is invariably what honour is represented as.

After MOTA every time Orlais is brought up I think of Baron Arlange: "That Wyvern was mine to kill. Mine, mine, mine!"

No, no, there are many more options! Think about it:
Tevinters: I always liked semi-educated barbarian ex-provincials more than rude barbarian ex-provincials
Nevarra: I always liked cheese-eating surrendering monkeys more than... than... who were they again?
Elves: I always liked opressive human overlords more than slightly less opressive human overlords
Qunari: I always liked bas more than bas

Honor, isn't just any concept, it's a principle that might be as essential to the human condition as love. Honor defines the duties of a person within a social group and how others see them.Honor is a foolish concept, in my opinion.
Wether you might realize it or not, human society is at least partially based on honor. No honor means no credibility, respect or dignity.

Mages have more to fear from each other in Tevinter. Being a mage means nothing by itself.

Human society is based on ruthlessness and the sheer desire to live, Society existed before naïve concepts such as honor even crossed the minds of our ancestors and it shall continue to exist long after honor becomes a faded memory.

I liked what Celene hoped for with Orlais.. a sort of Renaissance of education and such. If that could get on track, Orlais is worth saving. Humans don't seem to have a society with aspirations like that. Qunari and dwarves seem the most scientifically minded.
