What are you going to call your Inquisitors?

Elf Male: Falconer

Elf Female: Cailin

Human Male: Ben

Human Female: Rebecca

Qunari Male: Chayton

Qunari Female: Chumani

Dwaven Male: Irving

Dwarven Female: Abiageal (Irish Spelling), Iona

Despite their voices being changed I always consider the Elves of DA to be Gaelic. If you want good Gaelic names you can try LINK. There are names from all over the place there if you want something that matches the culture.

Anyway I always playthrough multi times so the will be more.

Cut and paste this if you like:

Elf Male:

Elf Female:

Human Male:

Human Female:

Qunari Male:

Qunari Female:

Dwaven Male:

Dwarven Female:

I'm very unimaginative when it comes to naming things. All my characters end up with the same name or an insult for a name. No doubt I'll go back to using insults for my Inquisitor.

I'll probably use the default names. I usually like them. I'm curious as to what they are at present.

Human male: Gideon Trevalyan

I haven't decided on the others yet.

I don't know. I'll probably just rip another one from a Baldur's Gate character.

Warden was already Aerie. Maybe Inquisitor will be Jaheira.

I like to use the defaults (in Dragon Age at least) since they always seem to fit better than mine ever could.

However, if I have multiple playthroughs with the same origin, I find names that make sense within the setting.

Ah yes, can't beat the old Gaelic elves rule. Infallible until you start doubting your pronunciation, so many weird invisible vowels and "Caoimhe"s.

Elf Male: Cillian

Elf Female: Saoirse

Human Male: Linus (I don't know why was thinking Linus. Lost? Peanuts? Something?), Sigmund (My default human male/dog name.), Alec (Bioware gives me a Goldeneye reference then I plan to take it.)

Human Female: Clarissa (Because I loved House of Cards)

I need to see them first, my mind is full of character names, I'll probably spend a good few hours researching one regardless...

I end up playing only males (gay except for origins when I romanced Morrigan~!) usually but with the introduction of Sera as a female only love interest I'm forced to create a female because I want her so bad. So Here are my planned playthroughs in order of when I'm gonna play them.

Elven Male Mage - Albedo Levallen, because I'm planning on giving him whiteish hair akin to Fenris, and Albedo is white.

Qunari Female Warrior - Isala Adaar, Isala in Qunlat means Dust, and Adaar according to Mary Kirby means Weapon, so Dust Weapon or how I'd like to perceive it as a weapon who crushes things into dust ;)

Human Male Rogue - Janus Trevelyan, Because Janus is the true name of Magus from Chrono Trigger who was a shadowy badass.

I usually like to start making characters by starting with a name and then coming up with characteristics that go with that name and personality that I create.

For England or...?

Female Qunari Axe-shield warrior (Since no Player spears, though at this point one-handed axes are also unconfirmed too) will be named Ortlinde. Good on you for being cultured if you know where it's from.

I haven't thought too much about additional playthroughs yet, but Norse Mythology is filled to the brim with awesome names to steal, so I'm sure I won't be left without something..

Human Male Warrior: Tyrion(done in both Origin & 2 lol)

Human Male Mage: Zahir (favorite new name for...reason)

Elf or Qunari Rouge: Sadira (Thank you KI )

Female Human or Elf Necromancer: Sindel (MK inspired)

Whether I'll do more is doubtful but who knows

Male human warrior: Lucian Trevelyan. Sounds semi French/English, so it would suit my concept of a half Orlesian half Fereldan noble warrior.

Just out of curiosity, are the surnames set in stone (IE: Shepard/Mass Effect) or is that just an assumption people ran with from the PAX video? Personally I don't have anything against set surnames, since... well.. family kind of sets our surname in the character creator of life.

I'm pretty sure they're set in stone. Especially considering that the Dwarven surname was Cadash which is a hugely impactful surname.

depends on PT/class. shadowhumper, gutripper, rainbowman. first one will be probably skuld tho, less awkward with those fancy surnames too.
