It's all in a Name. What are you going to call your Inquisitors?

I'm pretty sure they're set in stone. Especially considering that the Dwarven surname was Cadash which is a hugely impactful surname.

Every time I miss something that in hindsight seems so obvious, I wish I hadn't got DA:O on lolDirect2Drive so I could play it again.

My Inquisitor: Greetings to you all. My name is Ser Reginald Trevalyan and I am going to lead this sorry ass of an Inquisition. My friends call me Regal but to you I am still Ser Inquisitor Reginald Trevalyan. Hehe.

Iron Bull: UH, such a darn long name you got there mate. How about I just call you Bob? You kinda look like Bob.

My Inquisitor: NO, YOU CERTAINLY WILL NOT CALL ME BOB! Back in the line soldier!!

I make the up on the fly usually.

No idea what my first Inquisidalish is going to be named, but my first male Humanquisitor is Marcus, I always use that name at some point. When I eventually make a Qunari I'mn planning on using known Qunlat words to combine into a name with a meaning.

I will just use my first name for my Cadash, Lavellan and Adaar male Inquisitors. It is short, easy and quite unique.  :)

I mean I have checked my name online for what it means and there is genuinely no answer. Talk about making a name up.

I'm very unimaginative when it comes to naming things. All my characters end up with the same name or an insult for a name. No doubt I'll go back to using insults for my Inquisitor.

Take a regular short name. Like Ben or Lisa. Then add some letters infront or behind it. Like Jylben or Ilalisa. Stuff like that.

I name my characters Virtue names, but I may have to come up with another method since that's how Spirits are named in the DA universe. My Wardens were Verity, Patience, Solace and a bunch of others. My Hawkes were Deliverance, Steadfast, Charity and a variety of others.  I went with the Marvel universe for my Shepards and my canon Shep is Callisto (which fits the world because that's also one of Jupiter's moons). Not sure if I'll fish out names from somewhere else for my Inquisitors or stick with my virtues and hope I don't run into a spirit with a name I'd like to use (looking at you, Justice).

I have no idea. My character creation usually goes like this: I make the face and the talents/abilities, then stare at my screen for up to three hours while I think about a name, looking over my overfilled bookshelves in-between for inspiration and so on.

Names are super-important for me, because usually those characters where the name just sounds right end up being my main playthroughs. Eorlin Amell and Marada Aeducan for DAO, Rowan Hawke for DA2.

Yeah I normally have an Elf called Belladonna and Amaranthine in any fantasy game I play.

Quizzy. Thusly when ever anyone refers to them as 'Inquisitor', they're simply being polite and using their Sunday name.

I kind of want to see what the classes are like first before I start figuring out character names. More than likely the first play through I will use the default name.

My Male/Human/Warrior will be called Seth, i've been giving biblical names to my main worldstate protagonists because i'm rather terrible at coming up with names xD (Warden/HumanNoble/Rogue was Abel and Hawke/Mage was Cain... finally finishing up adam and eve's 3 named sons with the Inquisitor)

Where I come from, one name is not enough, it's usually 1 first name + 3 middle names, so this will be difficult.

Will depend on the surname we are given for each choice of character. A name I wanted to use in Origins didn't work because the surname didn't fit with it. It's a silly thing but it would bug me all game. Will make a choice after finding out the surnames. That is assuming of course we get given specific surnames this time,
