I only recently decided to name my female elf mage Kaila.

 

No idea what the rest will be called.

dun know. i mostly name my characters as i'm creating them on the spot.
in dragon age orgins my main characters name was...killou?..i think
it was because she was a city elf...and her father, i forget his name, decided to name her that because she looked like a killer

EDIT: *comes back from old BSN* Chayle! that was her name, my rogue's name xD i'll get my inquisitor's name as i'm creating her and him. I might name my guy qunari Dragunov from Tekken..tempting

Well, I was going to name my Inquisitor Stephen, but then I found out his surname would be Trevelyan and Stephen kinda rhymes with that, so.... I suppose I'll have to be unoriginal and snag the name of the character he is inspired by - Stannis. 

 

Stannis is a placeholder unless I decide on another name, but forgive me for not being terribly excited for Inquisition considering my vehement disapproval of DA2 and everything in ME3 that wasn't related to gameplay or Garrus Vakarian.

Whatever I ultimately end up naming them, I'll have to do better than my first Hawke. I liked how she looked so I kept her, but I was halfway through the first act before realizing how silly the name was:

 

Peregrine Hawke.

So many possibilities, so little time. And those are just the ones I've collected from various different regions of the world. I haven't even dipped into my collection of names from various fantasy/sci-fi books I've read over the years ...

My very first Inquisitor will be an Elvish Female Mage and her name will be Amelie

 

2nd) Qunari Rogue Female and her name will be Mina

 

3rd) Human Warrior Female named Usagi(I like Sailor Moon lol)

Awh, I'm a little late to the party. Damn you, work schedule.

 

Anyway, I consider names very important to me. I choose every name carefully and with reason/meaning. So far, I haven't been able to really come up with any names for my Elven Inquisitors, but I'm working on it.

 

I find it interesting that Qunari have a surname. We've never once seen a Qunari with a surname in Dragon Age before, whether they were part of the Qun or Tal-Vashoth or otherwise. So far what I have is...

 

1) First and Main Inquisitor: Christoph Trevelyan (Human Male Mage)

 

2) Female Qunari Mage: Serach Adaar. Serach means "free of restraint" in Hebrew :')

 

3) Human Male Mage: Bradley Trevelyan

 

4) Human Female Rogue: Joanna Trevelyan (totally inspired by Joan of Arc).

 

5) Dwarf Female Rogue: Margaret/Maggie Cadash

 

6) Qunari Male Warrior: Karasaad Adaar (though not part of Qun, he supports his role and accepts it as his name; Karasaad means melee Qunari warrior)

 

7) Human Male Warrior: Maximilian Trevelyan

 

8) Dwarf Male Warrior: Troy Cadash
