Replay DA or just read stuff for a "refresher" on Dragon Age storyline?

I played DA2 way back on its release in 2011.  It's been over 3 years since then and I don't really remember much.  DA Origins, even further back.

Is it worth it to replay one or both of these games before DA3?  Or perhaps just a read some story summary somewhere as a refresher, and if so, where's a good one?

Thanks!

It's worth replaying if you will enjoy doing so.

But the Keep will no doubt refresh your memory if and when you create your world state to use in DAI.

If you found the games enjoyable, then it is definitely worth the replay to re-familiarize yourself with the lore and plots.

Seems really weird to me that DA2 was released the same year as Skyrim. One seems like ages ago, the other it feels like just came out.

Anyway, I personally think the Keep will be something of a refresher course, though I really wish I could access my DA:O, but that ship has sailed far enough from port that I don't feel like swimming after it.

I'm doing new playtrough right now, currently playing Awakening. Not only that, I'm re-reading the books and comics and watched Dawn of the seeker. Highly recommended, but that's just me of course :) Setting my mind back in Thedas sort of speaking.

Sometimes I think about replaying DA:O but then I think of the fade and read a book instead.

I've played it so many times, no refresher is needed. :D

I'm replaying. Finished Witch Hunt about a week ago and now I'm still on first act of DA2.

That's what Skip The Fade is for :P (Well if you're on PC :X)

If you feel up to slogging through both games then go for it, I say. DA:O is painful for me to play these days because the combat animations irk the crap out of me -- plus I have just over a thousand hours logged via steam... so even when I tried to play again after like a year... I get to Ostagar and I quickly run out of Give a Darns :P

Just ordered the ultimate edition of DAO. There's summer drought atm, nothing to play, plus i've never played any of the DLCs and i haven't gone through the main game since it came out, so i thought why the hell not.

Just got done doing brand new playthrough of my "canon storyline" for both DAO and DA2 (actually just finished the Meridith battle 20 minutes ago, lol) just to serve as a refresher for the arrival of DAI.

I may try and do a second Hawke character (coming off from the story of my second DAO character, the ruthless Dwarf Noble) but I may not - I find that I tend to only like the Hawke character if I play the character in a very specific persona (a male mage with a diplomatic/sarcastic personality, who romances Merril, has Carver in the templars, and sides with the mages at the end), unlike in either DAO or the Mass Effect series where I can play various Wardens and Shepards with unique and different personalities with no problem.

I'm currently considering a full play through of both games, in part because I should soon have the necessary equipment to record my gameplay and put together that Dragon Age "Movie" I've been thinking about.
