I think Divinity: Original Sin has a pretty good "hard" difficulty. If you go in unprepared to a boss or mini-boss fight, you will get your ass whopped. Normal mobs can be beaten without special preparations, at least when you have leveled up your characters. However, there should be one difficulty level on top of "hard".
Let's talk difficulty

Maybe many a topic has been started on this already. But I'd rather voice my opinion more focusedly, since it is a view on how I'd liek difficulty, rather than how it probably will be.
To me, the difficulty levels should be as follows:
Story mode: You can play the game as an easy hack and slasher, without thinking to much or fiddling with the automated setups of the teammates.
Normal: Tactics are needed on more difficult fights, and using tactics on normal fights is rewarded through having an easier time, though not absolutely necessary.
At least, this is how I'd like it, but that's just me
As a casual player I usually like something in between story mode and normal. I'm not a normal player, I'm an awful player, but I still want a challenge as an awful player, I don't want to just hack and slash my way through everything.
