Felt like it was the only weapon I could use to finish my Pistol challenge yesterday. Used it twice on the Salarian Engineer (the kit I had most fun with), once of the Salarian Infiltrator, and just today on the Slayer. Was kind of fun truly roleplaying the Salarians; "I am, Salarian... Injured!" 
Before I got it maxed I thought about using it as a main & only weapon once I get it maxed, but now that I do have it maxed... I'm not sure?
Only if I really want to finish it for the Pistol challenge. Usually as a backup.
Before the shotgun omniblade it was a popular choice for the melee GI.

Yep. This was the de factor build for him at the time. I loved him with this on the old FBWGG. Farm for days.
It's too OP for gold. Why even play if you're going to make it that easy? You should only be using a level 1 predator or phalanx and no consumables on gold.

I use it on the GI when I feel in the mood to troll those geth motherfucking cheaters. I host a glacier geth lobby, and watch them being stunlocked and blown up for 15 mins.
Try a game with 4 Scorpions with Disruptor Ammo and Sabotage/Overload/Energy Drain with Geth. Quite amusing.
GI, but even then I set it to Cerberus or Geth to make sure I get the most out of it. Hurricane takes care of the bosses. I tend to do that when a PUG chimes in on how I carry Scorpion secondary and that it's crap.
I use it both on the Phoenix adept and the Drell vanguard. Both use disruptor ammo on it and both are very fun.
I like making the Scorpion explode instantaneously. 
QME - fire and load of Scorpion rounds into a spawn (with either Disruptor or Incendiary ammo) then lob in an Arc Grenade or two.
I also use it on the QFE for no particular reason.
Human engineer, Drell Vanguard, sometimes the Smashguard...
On the Paladin, for maximum noise and screenshake. It's a deadly combination against Geth and Cerberus.
