I used it as the main weapon on the Warlord once (extended mag and melee stunner).  It worked pretty well.  Although it looked ridiculous to have a gigantic hulking Krogan wielding what looked like a tiny plastic children's novelty gun.

I did on a couple of occasions use it as my only weapon. I do like to use it from time to time as a secondary, but only when reviving people. Load their corpse with Scorpion rounds while I try to get to them. I love seeing troopers stagger as they go for the killing stomp.

Only on the marksman kits. I just love hearing high speed sticky grenades being shot at enemies and I like playing pin the grenade to the banshee.

I used to use it on the VolEng as the primary.

 

It worked quite well since I was in the habit of firing proxy mines at the enemies feet anyway with him, the scorpion rounds would detonate instantly this way, adding to the stagger and explosive goodness.

 

The CSMG took over as his primary recently though, it's damn good on him, even with just cryo ammo on.

Yes, I prefer it over the Acolyte in case of Cerberus while hosting (I'm probably the only one that really doesn't like the Acolyte). But I only do that sometimes now as I really hate the accidental weapon switch issue if carrying two weapons. Seen you use it as backup on the Geth Trooper. A kit I always love to use that weapon as a backup because he don't have any stagger powers + always use him as a weapon platform so cooldown is never an issue with him... not that anything hurts flamer cooldown...

I while back I played with some hacking scrub PUG who'd tweaked the Scorpion's rate of fire and magazine size to ridiculous levels. Imagine the Eagle except shooting Scorpion rounds. Setting aside the fact that he was a filthy cheating tool, it was an amusing couple of waves.

I use it as a primary on a few kits, but I find it works best on a triple-overload GE.  Ultimate crowd control, right there.
