Upload it on an image hosting service like tinypic.com. It will give you a URL that you can use, then post it on this site by enclosing it on the image tags below:
[img]your image URL here[/img]

I went to tinypic and uploaded my image. Clicked on the image icon in this post box. It gave me another box for the url which I entered and pressed okay. Nothing is happening. Please help?

What is your browser?
Right click on your image and select Copy Image Location (or something like that). To be safe, type the actual code and enclose them in img tag.
EDITED: New acceptable format
[img=paste your image url here]

I'm not aware that posting Youtube clips are possible.

Lots of people are posting you tube music videos to threads on the off topic forum. I'd like to know how it's done. If I figure it out before anyone helps me, I'll post it here.

It won't be visible in the editor though.

Browser is Internet Explorer. And which button on the toolbar to insert the pic?

youtube videos automatically load when you put the url in.
As you can see in the spoiler tags (and quoting my post then toggling to the code)

A lot of people using Internet Explorer are experiencing difficulty using this site. That's why I suggest manually typing the img tags instead. You can turn off the fancy editor by pressing the white switch box at the top left corner of the reply options (the very first button) as that seems to help improve IE's compatibility.
Once you've done that, get the URL of your image and enclose it on img tags like this:

Did you try right click and paste? If that doesn't work, disable the formatting by clicking the white switch icon, top left of this editor. After disabling, try pasting the URL.

It will not let me right click and paste, whether editor is visible or not. I'm going to try and get a mod to help. This is really odd.

What happens if you right click? Do you get the right click menu?

To paste try the key sequence "[ctrl] v". Works in most things. You just have to have your text cursor visible.

Thanks for everyone's help. I have gone with Mozilla as browser and no problems with posting images. It is as easy now as it should be.

But you shouldn't have to go out of your way to install Mozilla. Internet explorer is a mainstream browser. Is some one just too lazy to fix this bug? I would really like to see someone from Bioware shed some light on this.

Not Bioware's fault. They're just using BB software produced by someone else.

I apologize for being rude. But I am old fashion about customer service. I feel that Bioware should not change the forum platform until they have debugged it's use with all mainstream browsers. I know no one in this world in perfect and things do happen. I hope they will eventually find time to work the quirks out and that they will post a more in depth guide than the one they've provided. It's great when so many forum members are willing to step up and help each other, but Bioware should not make that a substitute for posting a really good guide of their own.
I will try to be more patient and watch my manners.

If something is not broken don't "fix" it or "improve" it and release it until it's ready. And if you do, release it as a beta.
