For me I just could never really get into playing as a mage. I have tried in the past but I just didn't feel comfortable in this play style. Personally my favourite class will always be a duel weapon rogue then sword and shield Warrior but could never get the hang of the mage style. So how bout you guys/gals?

I can never not play a rogue in any game that gives me a choice. I've tried playing mages, and I've tried playing warriors, but I usually end up just coming back to playing a rogue.

There's just something about sneaking up behind an enemy and then stabbing them in the back.  ;)

Mage in origins, just so awkward. I didn't have a problem with any in DA2, they were all mediocre.

I can play them all but my least favorite is the mages.

Force Mage is so cool though

I have a hard time playing a warrior. I don't know why but I just get board with it halfway through the game.

Funny, because it's the other way round for me. Mages are my favourite class but I could never really get into playing a rogue  . I tried a few times and somehow never finished the game with them. It is tempting though to play one because I want to be able to open the damn chests. Warriors are fine. I think they are the easiest class to play. Pure Archers are not really my thing either.

Warriors in the first game, mainly.   I couldn't get into the class until DA2.  It just felt like slogging through mud, especially wielding a 2 handed weapon.

It depends on the game. In DAO, playing as a mage feels extremely slow and boring to me unless I spam spells to get the different animations. In DA2 I loved playing as a mage and it was my favorite class, with the least favorite the rogue archer. It all depends on how good the animations are for me. I wonder which one will be my favorite in DAI (since it unfortunately looks like the mage animations have changed from DA2).

In other games, I usually pick the rogue type classes, for the sneaking, lockpicking and so on with the least picked being the magic classes.

So far I preferred the mage in both DAO and DA2. I tend to not like them in RPG usually though, which is probably why I love them so much in the DA games.

In general RPG term, my favorite archetype is the two-handed machine of destruction warrior with good survivability, unfortunately I didn't like it in either DAO or DA2. I liked the dex dual-wielding warrior in DAO and the rogue in DA2 too, but not has much has the mage.

Didn't enjoy playing mages in Origins. Ended up being my favorite class in DA2.

This, although sometimes I'll play a mage for role-playing reasons or to just break the monotony.

I don't enjoy playing as a warrior though. It's boring to me.

Mages really only pay off if you go Arcane Warrior in Origins, at least for my play style.  Otherwise, it was a bit difficult for me to get into at first as well, but I learned to enjoy the class.  And it is sodding overpowered in DA2, even without using blood magic.

Don't be hatin'.  :P  ;)

Warrior. Too many in Origins to justify playing as one. Felt like the game punished you if you WEREN'T A rogue. DA2's sword and board was tank or nothing... don't like tanking. Two handed... was... meh to play as. Gimme flippy flip dagger work or asplosions any day.

I am yet to have a warrior as my canon. Warden was a rogue, Hawke was a mage, but for some reason I could never get into the warrior playstyle.

I can enjoy all of them, but I guess warriors would be my least favorite.

Mage because they're squishy and they have a high learning curve.

I never play warrior. It didn't help that in DA:O we had five warriors in the party and only two of each of the other classes. I also don't like big bulky armor, unless I'm an arcane warrior.

Archer rogue is soooooo damn slow in DAO, I tried this style once, hated it. Went back to duel weapon the next time out.

Loved my Skyrim she-elf Bosmer archer though!

You read my mind, arcane warrior was my favorite (as far as mages went). It was just really...cool. I had an elven one and omg, I just loved that character. <3

They didn't have anything that really made me enjoy mages in DA2, so the only mage file I've gotten more than halfway through is a rivalmance!Anders mage, only because I was curious about the drama it would create. xD
