I'd like something more like Far Cry 3 or Borderlands 2. Big, non-linear, RPG elements.
So you would like something more coop-ish? Perhaps the Borderlands 2 forumla could work. The current multiplayer mode is way too static right now.

Dating sim or GTFO
I wouldn't be opposed to other game genres, but first I want a new Mass Effect with a new story, with gameplay similar to ME3, and the shininess and exploration made available by Frostbite 3.

Wouldnt mind a RPG tbh
It would be great to see a Mass Effect RTS or stealth action game in the future but for now stick with RPG's.
Some parts of Leviathan had me dreaming of a horror game from Bioware. I would definitely buy it.
Hey,
I would LOVE an RTS-Game (in a way like the last two star wars strategie games, with planetary assault, space battles and landing operations on planets)...a pure FPS would not be to my liking (but being able to switch into a first person perspective would be nice))
Other than that, I do not know what could work...

I wasn't really thinking "co-op". I'm growing a little concerned with the proliferation of games that highlight this style of gameplay (e.g. Evolve, Fable Legends, Rainbow Six: Siege, Battleborn, etc). I was thinking more along the lines of open world, non-linear format. It doesn't even have to be first person. Actually, it would be great if you could toggle between 1st and 3rd person, like in Skyrim.

Would rather see the series stick to its RPG roots and stay in a "main series" instead of having various spin-offs in other genres.
I'm abit torn on the issue. I really would like to see more ME games that explores other avenues in terms of gameplay and lore etc. On the flipside I can't help to feel like it could devalue the whole franchise if they messed it up. Bah!
there was that cancelled fps what looked like it could have been good im not an fps guy or anything but i would play that. and a rts would be great get the people who made halo wars to make mass effect wars? but not bioware they should just stick to the main series what is a action rpg.
Mass Effect Total War: I would buy that.
I think Mass Effect would lend itself very well to a Homeworld style RTS or a Wing Commander style space sim. The core of the IP should always lay with its singleplayer RPG/Third Person Shooter roots though.
Nope really I like this franchise because it's an action-RPG other things would be terrible in my own view. FPS are pretty much everywhere...would be bad for BW to enter in such crowded market, what they do now is quite unique for me and would like them to keep doing what they know.

For some reason, I want to combine both of these ideas.

The only other genre I would like to see ME in except an RPG is an RTS. Or Krogan Kart Racing.
I'd really like to see Mass Effect never have dedicated FPS in its combat. It would pretty much ruin the appeal for me.
Krogan Kart Racing
No joke, I would play the **** out of this!
I'd personally want any space simulation or cooperative experiences to just be incorporated into the current Mass Effect foundation. Those aren't explicitly different genres. The only genre outside of the RPG that I believe Mass Effect would make any sense in would be the MMORPG genre, but I have some reservations due to how SWTOR turned out. At this point I'd rather BioWare focus on their strengths and continue to make better choice-driven, story RPG experiences.
Krogan Kart Racing
Mass Effect Party
Quasar's Palace
Mass Effect at the Olympic Games
Lego Mass Effect
Mass Effect pilot sim
also, not a game, but I would LOVE to see a Robot Chicken Mass Effect special. I mean, Seth Green is the creator of Robot Chicken and Joker!
if it is a one shot game or they pick up a new studio to do them, there are two things i would like to see
1-I would love a hybrid of Bethesda and Bioware style games, so a first person view (more like dishonored then skyrim) rpg with the Immersion of a open world but with Bioware usual great story, characters, interactions, and atmosphere. Omega or the Citadel would work well for it but creating a a interspecies created city would be best in terms of have different environment to see.
2-This one is not really a genre but i want a game where your character is explore history, something like you are a historian who is testing recreation/simulation of major points in history.
It would be fun to see the First contact war, Krogan rebellions, Unification wars, ranchi war, The Second American Civil War, and so on, all those event that would never used as a setting for a game as the outcome is already know.
Basically I want to use the mass effect version of the holodeck as a animus.
I think they should do something like Destiny. Did anybody play the beta, that game is a must have. GOTY quality.
Meh.....I've been a Bungie fan for about 15 years now, and I must say I was not blown away, let alone entirely impressed with the Destiny beta.
Gameplay was smooth as expected. Soundtrack was better than your average, as expected. Other than that, the voice acting was really lackluster (and I'm not talking about Peter Dinklage). While I know it's not fair to judge the narrative based on what little we experienced in the beta, but from what I saw it seemed more cheesy than the Star Wars prequels. Like, really cheesy. The "darkness"? Give me a break. I guess my biggest complaint would be that it feels exactly like Halo. Halo with some classes and a less linear level design.
Mind you, I love Halo. And I've had Destiny preordered since before next gen consoles were even announced (over a year ago). But I guess I was expecting Bungie to branch out gameplay wise. They wanted out of Microsoft because they didn't want to make Halo anymore. But from what I've seen, they're just making a less linear version of it. I'm still getting the game, and look forward to some serious looting and grinding to level up. But GOTY? Doubt it....
If a Halo game can win GOTY, why couldn't Destiny? You said it yourself they are basically the same. I didn't particularly care for Halo, and I feel Destiny played much better. Given that 2014 don't have many huge releases I think Destiny may have a shot at GOTY. But who knows I'm just being an optimist ![]()
