Makes sense I guess, Flemeth has had a hand in influencing the previous Dragon Age protagonists so why should the Inquisitor be any different?
So Flemeth is still our guide in Inquisition?

Girl Guide - she sells you cookies - you'd better be prepared.

guide?
I don't know, perhaps guide is the wrong word but more of a figure that influences events with an indirect hand putting the Inquisitor on a path that somehow furthers her goals.

the word is - manipulator.
She never manipulates Hawke, as far as I can tell. Other than not saying what the amulet is. "Did I trick you? I asked you to bring the amulet and you did."
Not sure about the Warden either. It's up to you whether you believe Morrigan or not. I don't. Flemeth doesn't care to talk about it, either way.

i am not saying anything about Flemeth, i just pointing out that guide is not a right word, if such actions of Flemeth actually took place by the course of the games.

I wouldn't say she's a guide either. Just a rescuer. For better or worse.

Would it surprise anyone? It wouldn't be a Dragon Age game if Flemeth didn't swoop in and save us.
And I guess it wouldn't be Dragon Age if there wasn't someone who wondered if swooping was bad. Or not.

Mike said that she will probably show up in the game. So there's a high chance your Inquisitor is going to meet her.

Well in the first game, she is... well help you recover after the wounds. And she is absent through entire game, only to die/espace later on. Do what Grey Wardens supposed to do is the obvious course of action at that time. So i can't see anything that could be described as guidance or manipulation.
In the second game, she is using Hawke, but with all honesty i don't really understand why she is in the game, aside from giving Hawke a lift in money for the service she asked him/her to do. Which is... some sort of fan service i guess, because i don't really think that Flemeth's role in the game is that big to be important, not to mention entire scenario of saving Hawke's ass could be done by some other means. So Flemeth in DA2 is a fan service i guess, but i believe she will have her part in the third game. And we will find out what is her intension.
Because i really see no reason to create a character, which looks like a very powerful being, just to make this character a patch for a plot holes or in general to be a background character.
But as it now, she is like those people who looks important, but in truth they are nothing more than the empty shells with no value or significance. Not a guide or rescuer or manipulator. A patch.

I think all it really was doing was showing that Morrigan was indeed right that Flemeth wasn't truly dead even after the Warden killed her. Kinda just a quick and easy way to explain the exact details of how she survived. So those scenes were nothing more than showing "she's still alive so don't think she won't have significance later".

Was there a big expectation and fanbase for Flemeth or something? I was surprised myself the first time. I don't see how it's fan service. Unless you're using this term in a way I'm not familiar with.

Saving the Warden and Alistair stopped the blight, saved the blood of Calenhad, and also let Flemeth potentially bring into existence the Old God Baby.
Saving Hawke allowed the events of DA2 to occur, including the discovery of the Lyrium Idol, and especially the release of Corypheus, since only Hawke's bloodline could have set him free.
Flemeth even alluded to this when taking to Hawke, when she said the world would shake before him.

That's the thing though. Flemeth never really says anything. I neither trust or distrust.
Morrigan tries to be mysterious like her mom, but she doesn't have the knack for it, I think.
