So wait... American Inquisitor? As opposed to what? Is there a British Inquisitor? The voices for the Inquisitor are already British, so how is it American. I'm now confused.

You'll have a choice between the two accents for your Inquisitor.

Right. There is an American accent (going back to the DA:O convention of qunari/dwarves having that accent) and a UK one (going back to the DA:O convention for humans and elves).

But... The Zevran actor doesn't have an American accent.

With an accent that isn't American.

He's affecting an accent for Zevran. His natural accent is American.

He has a good range from my understanding, so don't worry about him sounding like Z.

That's kinda funny, since the german voice of Hawke in DA2 was done by the same voice actor who did german Zevran in DA:O.
So when he met Zevran he was talking to himself? lol

Andy, this might be a surprise to you but actors can put on accents for roles. Well unless the actor is Connery... then an Egyptian who's lived in Spain for hundreds of years sounds Scottish.
I know, but I went and watched a Skyrim video of the guy he voiced in that game. No American accent there either. So I've heard 2 different roles so far, and it keeps not being that accent. So you can cram the sarcasm.

I can't play and watch German dubs anymore I prefer English to my mother tongue on all media.

Good news! They also confirmed that Zevran won't be appearing in DA:I.
Best news I heard all month

Good voice actors can do a variety of voices, the best voice actors you dont even know are voicing a character
Jon Curry voices numerous characters in DA:O n DA2 as well as the mass effect series, his talents are broad and numerous, because you have heard 2 means nothing, its like saying mark meer can only do commander shepard, which is another ludicrous statement
Admitting you heard no american accent in his work speaks volumes for the guy alone, since you know he is american

Look, I get how much range and variety actors have. Point is, I thought the Skyrim character he voiced was using his real voice and accent. So is there a video I can be pointed towards where he sounds himself?

^that. Don't judge a voice actor from a couple roles. I mean Mark Meer did fricking Jethenn and Hybris in DA2 xD

I would have preferred the inquisitor being able to be a foreigner with an accent (i.e Orlasian or Antivian) as opposed to being a boring old smelly Fereldan again...

Hm... Much better. Well, that will be a pretty good voice for a dwarf or Qunari. Fascinating that his voice has that much range. I can't even hear Zevran in his lines in that video.

So we get allistar and leliana, morrigan, but not zevran? That is really uncool for his fans..considering how screwed over we were by the da2 import bug for him.
