I'm tossing up a female dwarf, elf or qunari, named whatever, romancing I don't know.

JUDAS!!!!!
Okay, here's my reasoning: I have a feeling that IB will be race-gated from dwarves and I really want to make a scruffy, sexy qunari warrior for my first playthrough. So that means that if I pick Dorian with my first qunari, I have to wait until my third playthrough to romance IB or not play a dwarf my second go around.
In a perfect world, IB isn't race-gated against dwarves so I can do my qunari warrior X Dorian playthrough first and then do my dwarf-tossing IB romance second!

Female Dwarf Rogue: Hoping to romance Varric/Iron Bull/Blackwall. But as of today, I am no longer panic-stricken that none of them are confirmed because: SCRIBBLES! I mean, Josephine. She's adorbable, she's an option for everyone, and sounds like she would be a reasonable match personality-wise for my dwarfquisitor, even if I'd prefer a dude. (And unlike with Sera, I don't have to worry about stuffing her into a party that will have two rogues already.)
After that, I'm not really sure what order all of this will be in. Current plans are:
Female Qunari Mage: Either Cullen or Josephine, assuming Josie has not already been romanced by my first Inquisitor.
Female Human Mage: Either Josephine or Cullen. (I'll decide who gets which after I've actually played the game, probably.)
Female Elf Rogue: Sera. Lesbian elf rogues for the win! They are going to create so much mayheeem.
Male Dwarf Warrior: Up in the air until we find out who the bisexual dude(s) are. Could certainly go for Dorian.
Male Qunari Rogue: Leaning towards Dorian here, but if Iron Bull is an option but not available for dwarves, I'll probably go Iron Bull/Qunari and Dorian/Dwarf.
Male Elf Mage: Um. Whoever the unrevealed female option turns out to be? Assuming she's into elves? Hoping for Vivienne, but if it's someone outside the companions/advisers then I just have no idea.
Male Human Warrior: Cassandra. They can kick arse together and compare scars afterwards. It will be magical.

Female Dwarven Rogue: Varric if available, otherwise I'll have to play the game first at this point.
Male Human Mage: Dorian.
Female Elven Warrior: Sera
I'm not sure about anymore after that.

1. Joan Trevelyan, human rogue, romancing Varric if I can. If not, then Cullen or Scribbles Josephine, depending on the personality they have in the game and which one I'm drawn to first.
2. Ishara Adaar, qunari mage, romancing either Iron Bull or Cullen.
3. Shayle of House Cadash, dwarven warrior, romancing either Iron Bull or Varric (depending on race-gate)
4. Norahwen Lavellan, elvish ??, romancing either Sera or Josephine.
and the boys
1. Petyr Trevelyan, human warrior, romancing Cassandra.
2. Adehlen Lavellan, elvish rogue, romancing Dorian.
3. Unnamed Trollboy Adaar, qunari rogue, romancing everyone but probably #ridingthebull if he can.
4. Unnamed Cadash, dwarf warrior, romancing Dagna I hope.
Bonus:
Amell Trevelyan, human mage, romancing Cullen because why would I not.

1) Tinesh Lavellan. He will be my official canon. Male elven mage that specializes either in Necromancy or Rift Mage. He will be a very ratioal, logical, intellectual, socially awkward mage . His love interest will be Josephine Montilyet. Both will complement each other perfectly. ![]()
The rest I have not fully fleshed out yet but here are some of them
2) Ishten Adaar. Male Qunari mage that specializes in Knight Enchanter. He will be a very driven and stoic mage. His love interest is Cassandra Pentaghast, assuming she is not race-gated.
3) Tom Trevelyan. Male human mage that will specialize in Necromancy. He will be something like Tom Riddle meaning he will be cold, calculating and charismatic. I have always wanted to roleplay as a powerful ruthless wizard. He will not be romancing anyone and will only perhaps engage in casual sex if it results in something beneficial.
4) Tyrion Cadash. Dwaf male archer rogue. He will by like Tyrion Lannister. He will romance someone who is a non combatant.
I am still coming up with backstories and character for other Inquisitors, including female ones.

I have to agree with you about the possibility of him being race gated.

4. Female human mage romancing Solas (if an option) or Jossy
5. Human female warrior romancing Jossy (if she hasn't already been romanced) or Cullen (if she has).

1st playthrough: Male, human mage, romancing Josephine.
2nd playthrough: Female, elf archer rouge, romancing Sera.
3rd playthrough: Male, dwarf two-handed weapon wielding warrior, romancing Dagna (if available).
4th playthrough: Femaie, qunari dagger wielding rouge, romancing Iron Bull.
Whatever I like the most will be my future playthroughs, but typically I like it better when the hero of the story is part of an oppressed minority. Male human mage is my favorite in both previous installments, which is why it is 1st for Inquisition.

First playthrough:
Male Qunari Mage Inquisitor. Hoping to romance Iron Bull
Second playthrough.
Male Human (Rogue or mage) Inquisitor. Hoping to romance Dorian.
And that's it...maybe I'll roll a reaver dwarf in the future. But I'm not even sure.

My first planned playthrough was a Qunari Lady Mage, but I don't know enough about the race-gating and the remainder romances to really think what avenue she'd pursue.
Given how things are, I may end up playing a Qunari Dude Mage first instead, to romance Iron Bull, if he's race-gated.
An Elf Warrior Dude to romance Dorian.
A Dwarf Rogue Lass to romance Cullen.
An Elf Rogue Lass to romance Sera.
As much as I love Cass and want to see her romance, I am having trouble imagining her with a dude since I had so much headcanon of her with a lady.

One plan thus far: Eiria, my Dalish Inquisitor, who's a woman and plans, tentatively, on romancing Sera.

Don't we all love these threads!!!!!
I know I do.
First Play Through:
Male/Human/Warrior (Or Mage if it close to anything like an Arcane Warrior.) Will specialize in 2 H Weapon Chopping!!! Name Dangmar. To be honest, I am not hoping to Romance any of the characters yet. I need to see which ones I like first. I am hopeful that Cassandra is not a sourpuss.
Second Play Through.
Female Qunari Archer Rogue: Name.....Emma. No Romance likely...
Third Play through. Male Elven Mage.
After that, I know I will play the game a few more times, but who knows....

I am only posting here because the complete and utter lack of planned Blackwall romances is shocking and wrong. (But yes I know it's because most don't believe he has a chance at being a LI
)
1. Auren Lavellan (M), archer rogue, romancing Blackwall ... if unavailable, then Iron Bull.
2. Kael Lavellan (M), mage, romancing Iron Bull ... if unavailable, possibly no one.
3. Adele Trevalyan (F), S&S warrior, romancing Sera.
4. Aliss Cadash (F), DW rogue, romancing Josephine.
Really sucks that my first two playthroughs are so up in the air!
None of the romance information lately is going my way. Alas.
