The only FAIL Platinum I've ever attempted was London/Reaper/Platinum with the Krogan Warlord. I might have made it to extraction if it were not for a cheating Banshee that teleported in front of me while I was running for hills. Only got to Wave 8, and that's saying something...and I didn't even run out of equipment yet. It was difficult, 'cause I had no Cyclonic IVs.
Platinum Solo Attempt: I must be nuts, right?

Once my Venom is high enough, I will attempt a Drell Adept with Venom on Condor Platinum. I am in a dilemma on which faction is best to fight against. I'm afraid he'll get decimated by Geth since Biotics suck against shields.

And venom can be unreliable on condor because of the uneven terrain - its projectiles sometimes bounce unpredictably.

Yeah, that's what I've noticed with Venom. Venom is best on the flat maps and on the smaller maps for more group clusterf****. SMG and Pistols might be a better way to deal with things while keeping Cooldown to a minimum.

You might want to mod the objectives so you won't get devices on wave 10. The worst thing that can happen with foolish solo attempts like this one is to be defeated by the RNG trolls.
Good luck mate!
Wave 3 Devices is quite irritating for Collectors as well. Praetorian movement speed along with the Possessed Aboms makes it hard to get enough time away from them. Also Jade blows and the Praetorians will laser you from anywhere.
Anyway, wave 10 should be harder on Jade (it is not as bad on some maps, IMO). Would really be interested in a solo where someone successfully does devices on 10.

I had Devices on Wave 3 during an attempt, actually. You hit the nail on the head. Their movement speed is a bigtime problem, and not just on the objective waves. Praetorians will laser you from impossible angles, and hardcover is quite buggy on Jade on some places in the lower area next to the LZ. Possessed Scions will lob grenades at your feet everywhere you go, and you're constantly pressured to land headshots on Possessed Aboms. I thought about taking Sabotage to rank 3, just for the stun potential this power has.

Wave 3 doesn't have praetorians or scions. And no obj. wave on collectors has scions.
Honestly, wave 3 and 6 are manageable for devices. Wave 10, however is a b*tch because three bosses move at different speeds.

Reapers are awful but the Venom and warp ammo will make quick work of them. Wave 6 targets is also a nice thing because you can nuke the first atlas and it'll switch to ravagers.

Btw, what gear, nuking strategy and spawn control strategy are you using?
Warp Rounds IV / Assault Rifle Rail Amp III / Cyclonic IV / Geth Scanner or Armored Compartments, mostly the latter.
Warp Rounds IV are great against the Collectors, more than AP Rounds or Drill Rounds; they just die faster. I'm saving my all nukes for waves 8, 9 and 10 to cut those thick wavebudgets down. I have shot two missiles on wave 4 on a prior attempt, but I'm also factoring in Targets on waves 6 and 10, so I like to keep 8 nukes. Wave 3 Targets is fine, since they are all Brutes.
I try to force the spawn to my right, so that the enemies have to cross the LZ area. That way, I have a long line of sight and I can work them down a little. When I get overrun, I rotate to my left to keep a RHA at all times.

Rage-quitting aborting the mission on wave 3 isn't as bad as getting screwed on wave 10 when the first 9 waves went smoothly and you still have a healthy supply of consumable.

Huh? Wave 3 Collector Platinum has 2 Praetorians and 2 Abominations. The aboms start out possessed.

Yeah, but I was talking about normal waves. They give me more hell than wave 3, honestly. I often lose gels on wave 2 and 4, because of the Scions (W2) and Banshee + DPS (W4).

@Kobe: I'd still prefer drill or AP because of double hits on collector bosses. And also for hitting through walls without losing damage (jade has a lot of walls you can penetrate through, using AP/drill). And on a map like jade, geth scanner is better, especially for a QMS without stagger power.

No. Wave 3 has 2 abombs, 2 troopers, 2 brutes and 2 ravagers. Wave 6 has 2 crabs, 2 abombs, 3 engineers (!!) and 1 atlas.

Wow, hold on there. Geth scanner is a MUST. No way armored compartments can be as good. Use geth scanner and, most importantly, DRILL AMMO! Forget those warp IV, if you can't wallhack with that guy you're as good as blood on the floor.

Hmmmm. I need to go back and look at it because my Rio v Collector one I thought it was some wave that had 2 Praetorians and 2 Aboms that was screwing me with devices each time. Misremembering maybe.
edit: Maybe it was 6 that was landing on Devices and pissing me off. I don't know why I thought it was 3.
Anyway their speed is a problem but it isn't as bad as when they have Praetorian support. But Ravagers are bad on Jade too. ![]()

Alright, let me switch it back to the Scanner. Sure, I can wallhack. Drill Rounds III it is, then. ![]()

Seconded. With Drill you don't need AP mods for the Saber either (so you can go damage and mag instead).

I want to try it, but I don't have enough free time on my hands these days, barring sundays. :/ And I don't want to waste the whole day trying to get one plat solo done, lol.
Someday, when I get home early, I'll attempt it. ![]()

I don't like the QMark, but for this I might try this build. I am not high on Tactical Scan these days. Could go Duration on Sabotage. Use it sparingly in the hunter / pyro waves or for turrets.
GS is going to help more than any other gear in a solo.
