Exactly. Once you get the timing down I don't even evade grenades or bomber droppings.  Just shoot, time BF properly, keep shooting. It's almost second nature now.

 

Hmmm...what is the time span of a Geth Prime's triple pulse shot?  You can usually see the first one coming in at you.  If you could ignore all three, that would be pretty nice.

Same for Scion blasts. 

 

But, I'm thinking you'd ignore the first two but the third might make it over the 1/2 second time limit.

Just tried the 66653 with Wraith, having never even deployed the Cabal before. It worked ok (Goddess/Cerb/Gold) but it just didn't feel right. Even with Cyclonic 4 I was going down far more than I should be. I might give it another go at some point, it's probably just me using it wrong. Most other build suggestions from here I've instantly liked, but not this one.

It's different than any other kit. The easy mode version is with the Acolyte.. just shoot them once with Incendiary or Disruptor ammo, Poison Strike them and don't look back.. they will die. Look forward to your next target.

Turn biotic focus on BEFORE you engage the enemy.. and only use it after if you get shield gated.. then be prepared to retreat or stagger the crap out of everything with Nightshade Blades.

It does take practice.. because there isn't any other kit like her in the game.. she is unique.

Have you tried SPC and Shield restore gear on her with double dash and biotic focus you would likely be close to vulnerable. Shield restore would be under 2 secs and with double dash those shields might actually be relevant with gate cooldown being hit. Something would have to give though unless running all 6's.

I've seen you do well with her using Double Dash, so I know it can wreck things.  I need to put in more time with her in order to get more comfortable using the Double Dash Cabal.  She is unique like you mentioned.

I'm 5x6 but if I went legit there are options like 6/6/6/5/3, 6/6/6/4/4 or skipping biotic focus. I cannot however.. take the power amp III or IV off. They're just too crucial to how I play her (heavy power focused). So is Geth Scanner for that matter.. everytime I go without Geth Scanner I bite off more than I can chew because I can't see what's on the other side of the wall I'm about to teleport through. This problem really gets bad when I'm trying to retreat and end up in another spawn unexpectedly.

Just wait until you pug into someone's lobby you know has a good host. You're beloved Talon works wonders on that build.

and slap a power magnifier & HB on that talon while yer at it, and let the good times roll.

Honestly I don't use Cabal a lot for its intended purpose because it's just too infuriating off-host. And I hate gimmicky mechanics like "every other cast doesn't trigger a cooldown", but I guess thats my problem and not something that can be held against the kit in general.

There are about 15 better Javelin kits than the Cabal IMO. It's a neat glitch.. the first few times, then I realize there's a bunch of infiltrators, soldiers and Geth kits who use this weapon more effectively.

I agree. She still makes a fun and somewhat unique Javelin platform. High mobility, teleport dodge, close-range AOE damage & stagger which complements Javelin extremely well. That glitch is not the reason I use Javelin on her, it's just the reason I first tried it on her.

I don't get why people want to use biotic focus 6a though. I mean, it gives you .5 seconds of invulnerability, but so does poison strike, plus 50% DR, does damage, and with a shorter cooldown too. Sure it restores your shields, but it doesn't restore your shield gate, so if anything starts shooting at you seriously you're just going to die anyway. Compare that to 6b, which gives you 20% DR and 7.5% movement speed which will prevent you from getting shield gated in the first place.

The main issue I have with Biotic Focus is being locked out of Poison Strike for 3-4 seconds. If I need to pop focus.. 2/3 of the time I need to escape.. but I can't unless I dodge spam which prevents shield regen anyway. The other 1/3 of the time is DOT prevention.

However, if you take biotic focus 6b instead of 6a, you will need to take cover to regenerate your shields about every 15-20 seconds. Coincidentally, this is roughly the same length as biotic focus. Then it will take you about 3 seconds for your shield gate to be restored, which, coincidentally, is roughly the same amount of time it takes for the biotic focus cooldown to end.
